Hi, this will be our first trip without a stroller for DS7. We will be bringing a Mac Volo for DS4. DH will not let me buy another Mac as he says it does not make sense to buy it for one trip to WDW. Does anyone know if they still sell the red umbrella strollers at the gift shop at the Contemporary Resort? I know I saw it ther last summer, I thought just in case it does not work out I can buy one while I am there. Thanks

Hi

I was able to snag a volo, new in box off ebay for 55 including shipping! The seat has a slight stain on the white mesh from the manufacturing process, but its not even noticeable. I think it's a great deal and maybe you can talk your husband into it! You can also resell when you return and get your money back!

Thanks, I just don't have enough time between now and when I leave. The prices to rent are too high, and I remember seeing a red umbrella stroller for sale in the gift shop at the Contemporary for around $40. I just thought I could put DS4 in that one and DS7 in the Mac if it came down to it. We will be there for 9 days.

Maybe try checking your local craigslist. Last year we bought a wonderful double stroller for 5 yo and 2 yo off of it for $85, figured that would be the cost to rent anyway. This year I sold that same stroller for $95 on craigslist, so I made money! YEAH!! But I'd check there and local papers, maybe you'll get lucky.

Thanks, I have been checking craigs list daily. No luck. I had not planned to bring one, I just thought I would like to know as a backup if CR still had it in their gift shop.

I don't know about the Contemporary, but I did see them at DHS right as you walk in over to the left at one of their outdoor shops/kiosks. They were still about $40 if I remember correctly!

I started using our Volo at about a one year old for errands but still used my Mac Techno at Disney when DD was 14 months. If I were you, I would buy the Volo and try it out before Disney. Even if you don't use it at Disney for the next trip, you will love it for mall trips and later Disney trips! On our cuise last year my DD(3) fell asleep at the dining room table, DH moved her to the Volo and she slept no problems. I loved bringing it on our cruise. Also look into the Mac Triumph if you want some recline but still lightweight.

I want to bring the Volo to Disney next year but my Mom wants me to bring my Techno again... she pushes it the whole time and I think she likes it because she can load more crap in the basket-lol. When I go to Cancun later this year I am definitely bringing the Volo!

Thanks for the advice. I already have a BOB Revolution that I LOVE LOVE LOVE! I didn't really want to drag it through the airports, on buses, etc. so the smaller size and weight (and quality!) of the Volo and Triumph are appealing. I think I may get the Volo everyone's been talking about. A little staining doesn't bother me on my travel stroller. The grandmas would also appreciate a more lightweight stroller.
