I am contemplating a singlet because my arms chafe on the fabric of sleeved shirts for anything over 10 miles, but I have never had one before, does anyone run in one? are they comfortable?

Kirsty: I wasn't too sure either, but these shirts are very comfortable/breathable and lite. Shouldn't really have a chaffing issue. I have the v-neck, mens shirt and the singlet. I like all of them. I however order a size bigger than what I would normally wear.

Bumping up and just wanted to add, I love my Wish shirt and will be placing an order soon for another!!

For sizing, I usually go with a medium for mens and a large for ladies (sometimes even an x large if the shirts are cut small) so I bought a large unisex coolt and it fits perfect.

You can see a picture of the RR shirt on me, in my avatar, a women's v-neck in medium. I'm 5'8" and about 140 pounds in that picture. I'm also small chested and not particularly broad-shouldered. For me, the issue tends to be in the length of the shirts, which is why I now order up a size. And if you have a more substantial chest than I do, you'll definitely want to order up.

Anyway, here's what I posted on the thread order in August of last year. This is a RR shirt that is approximately 1 1/2 years old, but I think the sizing is still correct. (Mel, correct me if the shirt sizing has changed--it doesn't sound like it has.)


I love my RR shirt but will be ordering a size up in the women's v-neck in the next order and/or considering other styles for torso length. ....

In the meantime, I thought people would like to know the dimensions on the RR women's v-neck, size medium. I laid my shirt out flat and here are the numbers:

Shoulders (seam to seam): 15 1/2"
Bust (from the bottom of the arm seams, across the middle of the WISH name): 17 1/2"
Torso width (halfway down shirt's body): 16"
Bottom of shirt (a little flare): 18"
Torso length (measurement taken halfway between neck seam and shoulder seam): 20"


I also took a favorite-fit running shirt (also a M) and measured it for comparison, and they do run smaller. I find my medium fits me correctly in terms of dress size--especially in the shoulders and bust (I'm small-chested). However, the shirt is approximately 1" narrower in the torso width and 2" shorter in the torso length.

Thanks, Debra for the sizing information! I was questioning my decision to go with a small because I'd heard so much about sizing up, but it looks like a small will be perfect for me. I am only 5'2" and I hate it when running shirts are too long! I feel like they're constantly riding up my hips and I'm forever pulling them back down!

Oh, and actually, I just had a thought and went digging through my running tops, and I do actually have a RaceReady Coolmax woman's singlet from the Arthritis Foundation, and it is the right size. I'm sure the sizing for the singlet and the v-neck must be similar. Hurray! But I'm concurring with Debra that if you're any taller than 5'2", and waffling on small or medium, you're probably going to want to size up for length alone. My belly is covered, but not by much.

Shirts usually take 4 to 6 weeks. Race Ready handcuts the women's vnecks and men's trail shirts in lime just for us since those colors aren't normally offered in those styles. Sometimes that delays the order arrival.

But remember that once they cross the border, your order will be at the mercy of Canada Post and their one dog sled, so it could take WEEKS! :rotfl: Sorry, I'm Canadian, so I'm allowed. :rotfl2: However, the up side to Canada Post is I've never had to pay for anything I've mailed with a tracking number because it's always gotten there late, so I've always called and gotten a refund for it. :lmao:

I received my shirt via Marcia (Mushu). Love the mountain style shirt, and took it out for a test run tonight. Although my gel in the back pocket bounced around a bit too much for my liking, so I stuck it in my shorts pocket.

Like I recommended to others, I ordered up a size to an XL. Still funny that the shirt length is just right on this 5' 6" frame.

Warning to all, order up at least one size than what you think you fit.

Not sure if this is the right place to post or not, but I remember reading here that the WISH green is custom cut by the Race Ready folks. Well today I got the 2010 RaceReady catalog in the mail. If you flip to the back cover they have pictures from manufacturing and several rolls of the fabric looks like they might be the WISH green. It made me smile. :D

That's correct. The women's vneck and men's trail shirt have not come in the lime green in the past, but they cut them for us when they do their batches.

As many of the women's vnecks as we order, I wouldn't be surprised if they do add the lime to their regular order schedule.
