Massachusetts/So New Hampshire DVCers

Well I've seen many post for other states - so decided to see if there are any MA and SO.NH members out there. I added So. NH even though I live in MA because I live almost in Seabrook NH about 3 miles away from the MA-NH border. Also whats your home resort or do you own at more than one resort, have you ever done an add on and why?
We bought in DEC 2001 at VWL 300pts in 2 150pt contracts. we have never done an add on and only own at VWL. I have lived in MA almost my whole life - Boston, Easton, Norton,Dedham,Salem, Hamilton and now Salisbury.

Live in Wakefield. Grew up in Malden, DH grew up in Everett.

Our second "home" is OKW and we can't wait to go back next month!!!

I grew up in Lawrence and vacationed in Salisbury most of my childhood years. We've lived in Boston, first in Brighton, then Roslindale, and on to West Roxbury, for over 25 years now.

I originally bought 230 points at the OKW. We've added on 5 (6?) times in *very* small amounts and now own 480, 105 of them at the BCV.

My wife and I live in Oxford MA. We bought the DVC after spending a week in the Not so Quality Inn, and seeing how some friends of ours stayed at the DVC resort.

Call me a snob, but I don't.....no, won't stay anywhere but Disney property again when I visit Disney.

Funny thing is, we didn't buy DVC until the Kids were both grown and out of the house. ;)

We are going to the BCV during Labor Day. We'll let you know how it is!

Beverly, MA. Purchased May of 1997. Home resort is OKW with one add on at OKW in May 2000 and another add on at BWV in October 2000. Now have 450 points. Just the two of us, and it still seems like we're always wishing for more points and more available vacation time to use them!

Love DVC..never had one regret!

Grew up in Malden, MA - lived in Revere for 20+ years and now back in Malden. Bought 350 pts at OKW in July 1992, (loved those free passes) added 25 points a month later to meet our needs. Counting down to our next stay (August 2002, 2 bdrm 13 days). I'm packing already!!

Brockton, MA here.... DH grew up here (I'm from Maine), but we've lived in Stoughton, Bedford, and Weymouth. If you want to count the college years, he was in Westfield and I was in Easton. We own 300 points at VWL and plan to add on in a few years when the kids are old enough that we'll need the 2 bedroom all the time.:D

We live in Melrose Ma. DH grew up in Revere me in Chelsea and Revere We bought at HH in 1996 then add on at HH then at BWV. then at WLV .then an add on at WLV till we reached 850 pts. Wr love Disney and DVC we have trips planned once a month from august till next May. We are both self employed and have lost to many loved ones way too young so we are going for it all while we can. We have three wonderful teens that come with us when they can if not they watch out for each other. I don't want to wait till I retire to enjoy because I can'be sure I will be here when I am ready to retire so I am doing it now.

We are 5 - myself, wonderful wife and 3 fabulous children, from Newton MA by way of Jamica Plain, West Roxbury and Marstons Mills (Cape Cod). It's been a long journey but we're finally settled in.

Living in Beverly, MA - grew up in Everett, husband, in Danvers. Have been in the DVC for 3 years - Boardwalk home base. We just bought more points in WL bringing the total to 460...We have used our points for three Disney cruises with our teenagers, and have been going to DW various times of the years. It has forced us to take a vacation together, and we do not regret the purchase for one instant!! We do seem to be always borrowing from the next year's allocation, though!! Oh, well, we're all having a ball with our points...We've done things we never would have done or tried without these points...It's been great!!

Hi, We're from Keene, NH (Southwestern NH near VT border). Have lived here all my life, (same house 57 years!) We bought at OKW in 1993 - 320 Points. We added on 150 in 1996. Our son and daughter-in-law bought 430 Pts. at BWV in 1998. OKW is our second home! We travel to OKW at least twice a year. Had our family renunion there several years ago. Going back in 90 days! Hi from Marlborough, MA (via Cape Cod, Lynn, and Natick over the years). We bought 250 points at OKW in May 1996 and added 50 more in 1998. We'll be at OKW from 10/10 to 10/20 for our 7th annual fall visit in a row as DVC'ers and 8th in a row total. My four daughters have literally grown up with DisneyWorld and I hope it will continue to be a place we'll meet as a family as they start leaving the nest in a few more years.

Unfortunately, we won't be making our annual October trip this year because we borrowed and went on the Disney Wonder in May...Incredible!! We originally bought so we could hit all the resorts but after our 1st time 'home' at OKW, we got very spoiled! We should have done this years ago...

I grew up out in Pittsfield, DH grew up in Roslindale... I made my rounds through W. Roxbury, Rochester NY & on to Pepperell...

You guys put me to shame, I have NO IDEA when we bought LOL... I think we bought in '98 or '99 at BWV's, added on at OKW before sellout & added on through the waitlist at BWV's this year. We now have a total of 300 points... this is where we have to stay for the time being... maybe when DH gets more vacation time we can get more points :bounce:

We are sandwiched between Gloucester and Manchester-by-the-Sea. My DH and I became members last year after renting points from our friends last August. We loved OKW. Our home resort is WLV. We are taking our first trip 8/23/02. (My dh,myself,ds13, and dd 9 +sil and niece)
We are building a new home in Gloucester and hope it is ready before we leave. If not, we are going anyway!!!!!!!
We will be taking sil along. She is a teacher and has never been. She is embarassed because all her kids in Danvers Middle School have gone but her!

Hi - we are first time DVC members. We just purchased in January 2002 at Wilderness Lodge. We live in Oxford, Mass. Just stumbled upon your site and wanted you to know that we're here too.
We've been to Disney 3 times, 1985, 1997 & 1999. I love it there. I orignally wanted to purchase back in 1985 when we went down for our honeymoon!
It took this long but I'm so excited about our first trip as DVC members. Got my sister-in-law and good friends to purchase too. My sister-in-law has already been down and loved it. We will be going November 29th.
I'm looking forward to meeting many fellow DVC members here. This web site is great! Please feel free to send along any advise for our first DVC trip....

Oooh.. Harvard is a gorgeous town. I have visited the St. Benedicts Abbey there... the monks there were VERY hospitable... :) I have friends in Boxboro so we travel up to that area quite often.
