hi all

i went to chessington yesterday and it was really busy..

on average we waited 45 mins for each ride..

the changes they've made to vampire are pretty good - they've changed it so that the seats have no floor like nemesis..

the best bit was the car we got in was playing up a bit and when it came back into the station it didn't stop in the right place which meant the safety sensors wouldn't allow the bar/harness bit to release so we got to go round again - well worth the wait i'd say !

the worst ride was Tomb Radier which is new for this year - they have rehashed the old "ghost train" ride and changed it into an interactive shoot em up type thing (like Men in Black i believe) but it was pretty boring - so much so i gave up half way round and just sat there !

apart from that it was an okish day out - nothing like disney but then it's never gonna be

... glad you had a good day there :) ! I thought your legs on vampire always dangled  ?!.. but I haven't been in a very long time so maybe my memory is playing up!!
I must be honest, I don't like this park at all ..... I'd sooner go to Alton Towers but then that's a bit too far for a day out if you are down in the South isn't it?

hi

vampire's been closed for quite some time so they could make the changes and we thought it used to be like a normal coaster.....

alton towers as a park definitely beats chessington but it's way to far for a day trip - at least 4 or 5 hours from ramsgate - the last time we went we stayed in the alton towers hotel for 2 nights.

The Vampire always dangled from the rail, but your legs used to be enclosed in a carriage. (I think:rolleyes: )

I'm sorry you didn't like the Tomb Blaster ride Neil, I was really looking forward to that one :(
