I just bought my airfare for Febuary's Disney trip :cool1::cool1::cool1:
2 round trip fares from Portland for only $255 apiece!

I'm almost sure that Tara and I will stay at CSR or CBR. (I'm currently booked at CSR..but they only had waterview rooms(???) and it was a bit more than I was happy to pay. Maybe a promotion will come out...

Now, this trip, along with the one James and I are taking, Zena's graduation ceremony AND WEDDING (2 weeks from now!), plus all the family visiting is keeping me awake at nights and I'm averaging about 3 hours of sleep.

All wonderful things...but I am delirious

Color me confused but isn't delirium a normal state of being for you? :confused3
Delirium noun: an acutely disturbed state of mind characterized by restlessness, illusions and incoherent thought and speach.

Anyhow, good for you! And I still haven't heard any wedding details. :rolleyes1

 Hugs for you, Rosie.

Life can be as full... as sweet... as juicy... and as messy as a summer peach sometimes -- all you can do is close your eyes, savor every moment, and eat it over the sink. :goodvibes

(I'm paraphrasing some hippy philosopher here... Wavy Gravy? Neal Cassady? Ram Dass? It's driving me crazy that I can't for the life of me remember who said it -- but that's the sixties for you, I guess...) The only attribution that I can find on the net is Tom Robbins in Even Cowgirls Get the Blues -- I am SURE the line pre-dates the book though.

Two days until the East Coast invasions begins. Yesterday a trip to home depot yielded new screening for the patio door, floor tiles, a shade and various nuts and bolts.
Hence, I rescreened a door and laid a floor (not as fun as I was hoping)..
This, all because I can't kil my daughters cat who loves pawing at the screen and peed all over the carpet previously laid in the guest nook.

James Mom (easy, I love her) comes on Tuesday, our friend Jerome on Wednesday and a cousin on Thursday..they're all staying with us. Zena's graduation ceremony is on Saturday.
The following Tuesday James' two brothers and their wives arrive as does Tara's boyfriend from L.A...he's staying with us, the bro's have taken hotel rooms. My Mom and StepDad come next as well as James younger brother, his wife and my lovely neices.

Today I made up my shopping list...anyone have a fork lift I can borrow?

Zena and Logan wed on Friday the 21st. She's taken care of all the details and I really haven't done much for that except by way of dress shopping.

That's right folks...I'm wearing a long brown halter gown.
I may or may not wear undies as technically it is a party but since the ceremony and reception are at the same hall that may cross a couple of lines.

They're having Hawaiian food, a three tiered cake (three different flavors), and are toasting with a Spanish tropical soda...no alcohol cause neither of them drink and their friends who do do not do it moderately..they don't want someone grabbing my **** (again).
They're creating their own playlist using Itunes....I expect a lot of Beatles and Motown with some nerdy They Might Be Giants and Jonathan Coltran (?) thrown in for good measure.

James and I are both walking Zena down the aisle.

I have been going non stop and if someone knows where my off button is will you please push it?

In fact I think you all need to do a laying of hands on me to find it....I'll tell you when to stop ;)

The wedding sounds cool - love the Hawaiian food idea and I really love that both you and James will be walking her down the aisle. I say kick it up a notch ... do something special ... be crazy ... wear underwear!!!!!

Yes and No.

Zena's graduation was wonderful. I cried just like a Mama would.
I have three people staying with us and a fourth arrives today. I have been managing the cooking rather easily..but don't ask what the grocery bill is....:scared1:

Yesterday I got a phone call that my stepdad was rushed to the hospital. He has a huge kidney stone and they also found a "mass" that they're 99.9% sure is cancer. If it is it's very new. :sad1: I love my stepdad and naturally I just want him to be ok.

Aside from that, Zena seems to be prepared and happy and Tara has been amazingly supportive....so all in all I'm doing ok.

Did you decide...undies or natural?

I talked to Dad tonight and while he was very groggy, the doctors did tell him the mass was not cancerous. I was so relieved I nearly puked. He's a really good man.

Mom is coming, she'll be in tomorrow and will join the masses already staying at my house. Tonight I feed twelve people two trays of lasagna, a massive salad, bread and homemade banana brownies.

Tomorrow night is the rehearsal dinner...so someone else is cooking the meal, and Thursday when I expect to feed 20 people..it'll be a BBQ.

No panties at the party (for me anyway :rolleyes1)..but Zena insists the guests keep their clothes on in her sight so I guess the Betazoid tradition is a no go. :headache: Oh well...I have an anniversary coming up in January...maybe we can renew our vows....
