That's not going to stop the churches that do it, though. :sad2:

No, of course not. But it will help erode the notion that "gay" is a choice.

If some psychobabologist can't "cure me of my straightness", why should it work the other way around??

Being raised Pentecostal since I was born until I turned about 25 years told, I've met a lot of men who've parents have thrown them into these camps/groups/therapists who try and turn them straight. The amount of damage they do to these poor people is astounding. So many people I know of, have taken years to get over it and to accept themselves without fear and shame.
Not me, I flew out of that closet with confetti, streamers, balloons, singing Ethel Merman's, "I love a parade!". No one ever tried to change me.

And we're glad! We wouldn't want you any other way, Z-man!
But yeah, I've known people who went to those kinds of camps/ministries, etc. The least amount of damage were people who were incredibly guilty and very closeted; and I know two people who attempted suicided after they felt they'd "failed" to pray hard enough to "fix themselves". They're just evil. Pure malicious evil. :sad2:
