Tax on meals?

I'm trying to do some figuring if it pays for my family to do the dining plan or pay OOP. Had a question about tax though. Are the meals at DW taxed? not an issue if covered on the plan, but it would have to be figured into the OOP cost.

Tax is covered on the dining plan. You have to pay for tips and alcohol OOP.

Yes. 6.5% (7.0% at some of the value resorts.)
