Kathy Griffin will be in town performing at the Bob Carr performing Arts Center.

The Carr is a 15 or 20 minute drive from Disney. It's just off I-4 near downtown.

There is a 7:30pm and 10pm show.

Tickets available through Ticketmaster.

Before you ask....yes....the 7:30pm show.

loooooove Kathy Griffin...my girlfriend brought me to se he show on my birthday a couple of years ago, I laughed so hard I had to kegel to keep from wetting my pants! (was that TMI;)?)

If your not easily offended I highly reccomend her show. If you are easily offended go to her show and sit next to me so I can see the horror on your face when you hear some of the things she says!

My wife and I saw her last year in Jacksonville and she was great. If you get a chance to go, do it. You will not be disappointed.

I've seen her twice. First time I went was a couple years ago, locally. It was a present for my birthday.

Then, in December, my friend and I discovered she was playing a show at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood during the 'down time' in Hollywood portion of the Backstage Magic ABD tour. The entire time I kept thinking, "I'm in the theater where they hold the Oscars." :rotfl2:

I thought she was fantastic both times. She's the person who you want to sit next to for dishing all the dirt on celebrities. I agree that if you're easily offended, this show isn't for you. She's got quite the potty mouth, so don't say we didn't warn you.

Kathy Griffin is the best, she is one of a very, very few celebs I signed up to be a fan of on Facebook. I looooooooooooooved her new stand-up show on A&E, hilarious. The bit about going to Cher's house for her birthday was...:happytv: I've been dying to see her in person forever, but everytime she comes around here...which isn't often...I just can't go for one reason or another, one time I was in Disney.

It was too bad, but I had a bad feeling about that not working out too well from the time she mentioned it.

I took Jimmy to see her in NYC last year as one of his Christmas gifts (he LOOOVES her!)...

The show was in February, and while she was very good, the theater was kept at a solid 85 degrees. :scared1: About an hour into it, I was ready to run!! I don't care HOW funny she is, it wasn't worth sitting there baking...I never looked forward to NYC winter weather so much in all my life!!

Don't know if it's a request of hers to keep it so warm, but it was VERY uncomfortable!! (She was hysterical, though!)

:worship: You have to let us know how the show is.

My Life on the D-List is one of my guilty pleasures on tv. She's a riot! :lmao: One of these days, I want to see her stand-up routine in person. I feel old, I remember her appearance on Seinfeld. Very funny episode! :rotfl:

Off Topic: I had to comment on your avatar and picture in your signature.

 I loved NKOTB in High School (I graduated in '90). I went to HS in Europe and took a train from Belgium to Germany to see them in concert during the spring of 1990. Best concert ever!!! (Okay, second to the Michael Jackson concert I attended.) During their recent tour, my sister in-law works for the American Airlines Center Ticket Sales in Dallas, she sent out an email to family if anyone wanted to attend the concert because they had extra suite tickets. (It pays to have family working in the Ticket Sales Office ;)) Unbenownst to me, DH answered the email and got me two tickets. :woohoo: He knew how much I loved NKOTB back in the day. When we moved in together many years ago, we both went through boxes and boxes of old crap and that is where he saw all my posters and memorabilia. I had my NKOTB posters next to my Guns 'N Roses and James Dean posters. I was eclectic. What can I say? :rotfl: Okay back to my story, I ended up taking DD6 to the concert with me. She loves concerts. She's been to about ten concerts and she's only six. While waiting in line to get into the NKOTB concert at the AAC I started chatting with the woman behind me (she had to be in her late 30's early 40's). Come to find out, she was at the exact same NKOTB concert in Germany that I was at back in 1990. It is such a small world.

The concert was amazing. We took our children to see Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana last year and the ear-piercing screams of those little girls couldn't compare to squeals of the crowd on the evening of the NKOTB concert. Those women were crazy! :scared1: It was actually funny to watch. 40 year old women were walking around wearing t-shirts that read "Joey's Girl" and "Jordan's Girl". What a night! They've still got their voices and dance moves that's for sure!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Okay, back to the normal discussion. Well, "normal" doesn't really fit into a Kathy Griffin sentence. Gotta love Kathy! :rotfl2:

Ooo !

She's coming to my backyard (Sarasota on the 14th) first ! Our show's better than your show, nah-nah-nah, nah-nah, nah.... :cheer2:

*ahem*

But seriously, she puts a wonderful show.

A couple of years ago she was signing autographs out in the lobby and Keith and I gave her a giant champagne shaped bottle of bubble bath and a huge scented candle in a gift bag all wrapped up with a rainbow ribbon.

She was SO nice about it ! She gave us each a hug, looked at the gifts and said, "See ? This is why I love my g,,,, !" ...Well, you know... ;)

Have a great time... :woohoo:

Did any of you catch the Joan Rivers roast on Comedy Central Sunday night? Kathy was the host. She did a great job. :thumbsup2 However my all time favorite roast has to be William Shatner. I love when George Takei tells him off. It was genius comedy at it's best! :rotfl:

Also, our children forced us to watch the Teen Choice Awards last night and Kathy showed up with Levi Johnston. She such an attention w@#$e! Love it! :worship:

Also, our children forced us to watch the Teen Choice Awards last night and Kathy showed up with Levi Johnston.

Kathy guest-hosted Larry King the other night and had Levi on for an "interview" (and I use the term loosely) with her.

Ahh, poor, sweet Levi.... He was, um, how can I put this... Well, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed let's say. In his defense, he's only 19, but jeez Louise... He had NO idea he was being made fun of the entire time.

He announced his possible plans as a future underwear model, and really, I think that's an excellent career for him to pursue, seeing as all his brains are in his....

***ring !!***

Ooo ! That's my cell, I have to go....:thumbsup2

I love her! I wish I was going to be there...she's not coming to Philly any time soon (I don't think) so I've been living vicariously through her show. :happytv:
But now that's over, too, so what to do now???:confused3
