So Tim and I have noticed throughout the years that many gay men wear their watch on their RIGHT wrist. Now, I am right handed and so is Tim - but, we both wear our watch on our right wrist and have been doing so since we were very young.

We make it a point now to notice what wrist a gay man is wearing his watch on. 8 times out of 10 it is the right wrist! CRAZY STUFF I TELL YA'!

I know, completely INSANE and no, we don't have anything better to do!

And come on, a gay man checking out another gay man's jewels is as natural as milk and cookies!

So, which wrist do you wear your watch on?

I've always worn mine on the left hand. And I never leave the house without a watch on. I don't feel right without one.

Wristwatch batteries dont last on me, so I wear a clip watch.

The battery stays charged, and it helps draw attention elsewhere :rolleyes1

I'm right handed, and wear the watch on the right hand as well. I must try it on the left side one day, and see if it feels weird?

Left handed, wear on left wrist. Partner is right handed, wears on left wrist.

Oh no, does this mean we're not gay? We've wasted 32 years!!

I am left handed so I have always worn my watch on the right wrist because it would get in the way of my writing otherwise.

I only wear a watch when I travel internationally as I use my iPhone otherwise. I wear the watch on my left wrist when I do and I'm right handed.

Must be. In Pennsylvania, we wear our watches on our left arm. How do you WIND your watch on your right arm, isn't the knob on the other side? Oh wait, we don't wind watches anymore!!

I have been told that left handed people wear their watch on the right wrist and right handed people wear it on the left wrist. When I wore a watch ( use cell phone now) I wore it on the left wrist even though I am left handed. So does this mean I'm not a gay married man? :confused3 :lmao:

What about the people that wear a watch with the face of the watch on the inside of their wrist rather than the outside? Hmmm, I wonder what that means? I know a couple people that wear their watch that way. And it doesn't seem to be orientation specific.

No one told me we were supposed to stop that once we got married! Are we breaking a rule of some sort?

When I do wear a watch I wear it on the right and I'm right handed, it just feels weird to me on the left. I will not wear one most of the time though because I think the watch tan line is so silly looking.

DW and I are both right handed and both wear our watches on our left wrists. But, I have a tough time keeping it on because it gets in the way while writing or typing.

I'm not a gay guy, but thought I'd add my two cents. I've been wearing my watch on my left wrist since 8th grade, feel naked without it. As a pp mentioned, I did use to wear it with the face on the inside on my wrist for a few years, but it really banged up the face of the watch. It does make it alot easier to read the time, though, without that weird-bent-elbow thing we do when we look at our watches (come on, you know what I'm talking about, where you look like you're trying to touch the person in front of you with your elbow and only your elbow).

Anyway, I no longer allow (yes, I did say "allow") DH to wear a wristwatch. He refuses to wear it tight enough and it slides up and down his arm from the back of his hand to halfway up his forearm and then when he looks at it he would flip his arm around like a retarded dog trying to shake itself dry until it got in an appropriate place to read the time. I took it away and hid it. But when he WAS wearing it, it was on the left.
