I met Steve in October 2002 at work....we went on a few dates and neither of us expected it to get too serious (we had both just ended relationships)! BUT it did....there was no way it could not get serious!

We were engaged in July 2004 and neither of us really thought too much at first about planning our wedding....so here we are 5 years later and only 9 weeks away!! :lovestruc

We have been planning since December last year and decided to get married at Celebration and have a Disneymoon.....we are having the bridal portrait at Epcot 2 days after our wedding! So excited! :yay:

So I bought some shoes in March and decided I didnt like them anymore...the heel was pretty small and my DF is 6'4'' and im 5'5'' so thought Id go for somethin a little higher........not quite 'a little higher'.....:rotfl2:

Sorry this is the wrong way around but I was desperate to show my dress and shoes....:rotfl:

Steve and I have been together since October 02, so many people would tell us from the start that we would not last as I was 18 at the time and Steve 34! :eek:

But we hit it off straight away and he made me feel like I never imagined I could ever feel, he treat me like a princess princess: and we were like bestfriends.....:hug:

We have been inseparable since! :love:

July 18th 2004, we went to a friends wedding which was beautiful...on the evening of the wedding we went for a walk around the grounds of the venue and sat on some steps overlooking miles and miles of countryside....Steve just took my hand and said 'will you be my wife?'......OMG.....YES....Of course but I wanted the marry me words...:rotfl2:......which funnily enough he said next....'I love you so much Lisa, I want you to marry me'! I will never forget it!

I then asked him to ask me again time and time again because I just loved the words!

He gave me an absolutely gorgeous ring, a circular diamond set in a square in a platinum ring...simple, elegant and totally gorgeous.....picture to follow...

So we got our confirmation through....we are meeting our photographer at 9 a.m on 10/10/09 at Francks GF!

Soooo excited! I get to wear my dress and have my hair and make up done allll over again!

He will take us across to Epcot for our pics, I have asked if I can choose the countries that I would like pics in but the planner has said we dont need to decide until the day and usually the photographer will just take us to the best ones for wedding photos....we totally LOVE Epcot so no complaints from us!!

I will get my bridesmaid dresses and page boy suit pics together asap and let y'all have a look!!! x

I went to a 'ball' a few months ago and I was looking for a stunning dress to wear....I tried one on and totally loved it, it was perfect but as soon as I looked at myself in the mirror, I was like 'Bridesmaids....perfect for my bridesmaids....'

So I got them all to try it on and they loved it (we had looked at soooo many by this time, in all colours and styles - none of them were 'right') so my decision was made and their dresses made me decide on my simple Ivory and Pale Gold theme!

Thanks....I have booked with a lady called Lorraine who has a business called gettingmarriedinflorida.com. She is an ex Brit, we were introduced to her by the owners of the Villa that we have booked! I would not recommend her at this stage though!

We decided to get married at Celebration Golf Club because we love how pretty it looks and its totally private which is nice! We have 16 guests so we wanted somewhere smaller that wouldnt look empty with us in it!!

Okay...so it has been soooo long since I updated my wedding journal...oops!

No excuses just got too involved in reading everyone elses and forgot about my own!

Since my last post about bridesmaids, I was having 3 confirmed and 1 maybe, well the 1 maybe has turned into a confirmed, it is Steves niece Becky....

Here we are having fun (I know my face doesnt show it but I was, honestly!) in Ayia Napa, Cyprus before I had my hair cut (I could do with it back now for my curls)

The reason that she was not a confirmed BM from the start is because the dress that we got for her, she put quite a bit of weight on and couldnt get into it. We could not get hold of one in a bigger size for her....Luckily, she has managed to lose quite a bit of weight and get back into it!! :woohoo:

So it is only three weeks today until the wedding day!

I think I have sorted everything that I needed to. Our wedding co-ordinator has arranged:

The Notary - We changed the vows around a little as I didnt like some of them, he is happy with our changes! :thumbsup2

The Cake - We are having a 2 tier plain white round cake, I have a cheeky cake topper:

The Venue - Celebration Golf Club, I have posted some pictures before of the venue

Transport - We have a white lincoln stretch limousine taking us to the venue. I have arranged another limousine for after the ceremony to take us to the reception venue and bring us home! It will seat all 18 of us in one go....we are very excited about our white Hummerzine and think our guests will love it!

Photographer - One of our guests will video the ceremony for us but we have a photographer to take our main photos!

Well my oldest sister (Caroline, 29) contacted me last week (on Tuesday 8th Sept) to ask if me and Steve would mind if she arranged a wedding of her own for the week after ours!

Absolutely not.....great idea, good opportunity as all of the family would be together. As we are from a separated family, it is not very often we get Mum and Dad together without their partners (both separated from them) so might as well make the most of it eh?!

Caroline has been together with Jason for about 12 years now, they have 3 children, Connor (Right: Age 9), Callum (Left: Age 6) and Cole (Centre: Age 1 - will be 2 on my wedding day):

After asking for our permission on the morning of Tuesday 8th Sept, by the evening she had booked the venue:

Cocoa Beach - Wednesday 14th October 2009 - Traditional vows - Sand Ceremony to involve the boys - Cake and flowers both arranged (ivory roses with baby pink ribbon) - Chairs to have baby pink ribbon and flowers.

Jason and the page boys (including my younger brother Thomas - same page boys as me! - will be wearing a very pale pink waistcoat and cravat) - My dad and my brother Stephen who is their Best Man will be wearing pale pink ties.

More importantly (ha ha) my sisters dress:

Thank you! The bridesmaid dresses look stunning on the girls, they are all shorter than me and with my heels, dont want to be too much shorter so you should see the heels that they have got.....:scared1:....And the dresses still 'just' touch the floor so dont need any alterations!

The villa is just amazing! The owners let us have a look around it last October before we booked it which was reeeally nice of them! :worship: The photos look fab of it so to say they dont do it the justice it deserves just shows how grand it actually is!

Last time we went as a huge group, we had to split across two 5 bed villas and you get the usual moaning about who wants to be with who etc etc so we decided to spare the stresses of who sleeps in which villa, club the money for the 2 together and rent this beauty!! :rotfl:

PS I think you will be out there the same time as us. What date is your flight? x

It was more than we were thinking of paying but worth it for the fabulousness (if thats a word!) of it! And it is for our wedding of course, so we decided to dig deeper into the savings pot for it!!

I had my final dress fitting yesterday, looks so nice, I love my dress so much! My mum and sister Aimee came with me, they had to be shown how to get me into it on the day!

Iv been advised to use talc on my body before putting the dress on, the lady in the shop said that as the day goes on, the dress will start to stick and be very uncomfortable to move in!

Aimee also decided to curl my hair, its about shoulder length and I have no idea how I want it.....until yesterday.....she curled it and it really looked pretty with the tiara!

So now Im just sat here with ONE week and 6 days to go, Iv got youtube playing Disney in the background, im so excited!!! My dress is upstairs in the spare room, Steve is BANNED from entering that room! :rotfl:

Oh and GREAT news, I set myself a weight target which I hit yesterday morning...:woohoo:...so im very happy about that...Not that it will last long when I get there, no such thing as diet in DisneyWorld!!
