I've been trying to print one of Bayou Mickey's disigns and the background is black. We plan to put this on a black shirt, so black is good. Every time I print this it comes out grayish - we need black. Yes, I have tried with a brand new ink cartridge! Any ideas?
Are there transfers for laser printers? I thought I could try it at work using the laser printer.
I am using Avery transfers purchased at WalMart. All other colors look great.
Thanks for your help!

Is it Dark or Light Transfer paper (should say on the package)? I was told if you are printing for dark shirts use Dark Transfers that Light Transfers wont work right.

I have also tried this and my black came out a dark grey on dark transfer paper too.
Annoying isnt it? Lets hope someone comes up with a solution!

Sorry - yes it's dark transfer paper. Even if I print onto regular paper it still comes out a grayish - almost purple color. Is it possible the designer uses a program for colors that's not in my computer? (I'm not computer-literate so don't know if I'm making this up or not!).
Thanks! Any more ideas?

I know that sometimes with dark transfer paper - the colors seem a little off (especially black) when you print but when you iron them on, the colors pop and appear as they did on the computer screen.
I cannot say if this is what is going on with yours but if the color just appears more gray-ish, I would suggest just ironing it on a shirt and see if the color looks good then. (maybe use a throw away shirt if you are worried about ruining a new shirt)
