First, let's introduce ourselves. Our disneymoon was so "interesting" (If thats a way to put it) that my Husband decided he would add to the *TR

Yep, I start this week and the kids start next week. I am doing my best to get ahead of the game here and be planned, but the to do list keeps growing instead of shrinking!!

I am glad you had such a blast...you guys deserved it!

Comparing to just married..makes the waiting for this TR even more intense because that movie is hysterical! I can't wait for this one

You guys stayed at my boyfriend and I's FAVORITE resort(Wilderness Lodge) ... thats our fave next to the AKL!!! We were at Wilderness Lodge 1 year ago last month--July 2008--we had an AMAZING time!

It really is a beautiful resort. I think if we would have stayed at any other time anywhere else in the resort it would have made it even nicer :rotfl:

Our Marriage Began with Secrets! lol Shouldn't everyones?

Vin is currently putting the rest of the luggage things away so I figured I would take the time to write about the little surprised I had planned the entire trip...

I had gotten awesome wrapping paperthat looked like paper bags and had these cute stars on them:

And wrapped all vins surprise gifts in them. The plan: To throw them on the bed while we were out so that Vin would be surprised! And it worked...

However, my bag was stuffed. And I mean stuffed. I could only put so much in the luggage forcing us to pay to send another (But YAY we met the cut off and we only had to pay the 20.00:banana:)

Anyway, so, even my carryon had the crocs (that I grew to LOVE) stuffed into a disney bag. I was so afraid that they would have me open the bag and Vin would see them the first day and I kept my carry on closed the entire stay the day before and the day of.

We stayed in the Marriott by JFK the night before to make life easier on us, and let me tell you....

Squeezing your arm into a small zippered space causes much pain.
(Remember the "Ketchup Burn aka Indian Burn" from your childhood? When mean little children would squeeze and turn their hands aroudn your arm and basically rug burn it? Yeah... that kind of feeling...)

But, thats the price you have to pay when you are on a mission to keep things secret!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

But they all worked out, Ill definitely post as the TR goes on.

Day One Part 1

Shuttles, Snapple, and Storms...Oh My!

We begin our story at JFK international Airport…. Around 5am.

We left the hotel we were staying at and took a shuttle bus to the airport (Where I got yelled at for not taking my laptop out…whoops…first timer here…easy now!)

Of course… Vin and I started off the morning as we start off all great things…

With a nice bottle of *Snapple! Our drink of choice of course
*(long story short, vinnie proposed to me on a Snapple cap… see engagement in PJ)

Now, from past experiences, Vinnie and I photograph “Proof of being in the airport” just incase…since we had been told vinnie never boarded a plane in the past…hmmm? Okay JFK?

And just incase you weren’t quite sure… we are newly weds… IT says so on my sweatshirt!

The flight was okay. A bit bumpy because it was raining in Orlando but overall good.

We get off the plane, and right away I cant wait to make it to that Section B!

So, we jump on the tram… (well kinda… Im still wobbling from the fact that my legs are numb) and before we know it… we are headed to the escalator to section B!

And then as we are walking we see the wonderful sign….

Disney’s Magical Express Counter! I THOUGHT for sure we would have to go up to the counter but Disney has since changed the “check in” Process.

We unfortunately skipped the counter and went straight to the large handed cast members, and went straight to our lane of bus… which was ready to go…and off we were!

You see - the bus seemed to have a slight mechanical problem. A brake problem or so, that caused the bus to skid out every time it would hit a puddle or make a turn.

And of course being the brave one I comforted Jen and told her that everything will be fine and dandy. What an adventure this was and we didnt even get to Disney yet.

Hey girl, I'm loving the DisneyMoon TR so far!!! :yay: Cant wait for more!!!
:rotfl:haha speaking of the MagicaL Express, yeah my boyfriend and I had an interesting encounter last year as well.. going to the Wilderness Lodge too!! haha.. Well first off getting the ME from MCO to WL was on a Magical Express-CRUISE bus.. :confused3 we thought hmm maybe we're going to the Port:laughing:
THEN leaving WL to go back to MCO.. was on a BIG YELLOW Mears bus.. the bus driver was SO out of it and "odd" he had NO IDEA what "GATE" and area to drop us off at MCO!!!!!?? First off were riding on a MEARS bus.. what happened to my ME hehe.. then when he decided to finally pull in somewhere which during this time of confusion he made us *WAY to close for comfort* LAtE!!! he then walked out of the bus and LOCKED the door behind him to see if we were in the right 'unloading' area.. there were people so upset because of the 'time' issue.. that we are knocking from the INSIDE of the bus to have him open the door.. literally from the time we got from our "mears" bus:mad: up to our gate.. literally 5mins from arriving at our gate they starting seating our ROW!! talk about ridiculous! But yeah trust me we know how you feel..:lmao:

Wow!! My parents went to WDW for the week (had no problems at all with ME) then they were on there way to the DCL when the Mears bus got lost. :confused3 He explained to everyone that this was his very first day and he had no idea where he was at and if anyone knew how to get there, of course no one knew, so he pulled over at a mini mart so he could call his office to get directions. He left everyone on the bus and told them that he was going to be fired for this. They arrived late and the boat was supposed to set sail but since the bus was through Disney they held the boat.

My lesson is to make sure you book the transportation through Disney, because they won't wait for you otherwise:rotfl:

It makes life interesting when silly things happen and for us good-natured Disney fans it just rolls off and we chuckle about it later on the Dis.:disrocks:

I know what you mean about the Ashton Kutcher movie; Kris and I had the same types of experiences on our Hawaiian honeymoon :rotfl:

OMG i know they were awesome too! It was a great adventure though. I wrote in another thread that it made me realzie that he and I really are able to handle life with a smile and i think it was the purpose of the entire disneymoon.

Just like the morning of my wedding, when my hair went straight and the wedding planner had to run to get me a curling iron for me to curl my own hair (Yes true story...see wedding PJ newest entry) I smiled it out!

Arrival to the Hotel,and The start of Day One

(Sorry its taking so long, vinnie is taking our review very seriously lol)

So we get to the hotel (in one piece thank goodness) :thumbsup2and go straight to the Concierge Check In. I felt kinda strange being there but oh well!

So, we had a really nice cast member who got us signed in and gave us our buttons and then told us, oddly enough, that our room had just been called in and completed…

(It was only like 9:40 and this had never happened before so we were super excited):banana:

She then walked us over to the bell hop for some reason, and “Cleared” our names with them. :confused3

We weren’t quite sure as to why they had to clear our room with Bell Hop, but the guy turned his back and said something, she turned around smiling and said “I’ll take you right up”. (Remember this…it’s a hint for later on in the story! Lol)

We walked to the elevators and she gave us the “tutorial” on how to “access” The seventh floor. Basically you stick your card in and the number 7 lights up- still pretty cool!

We get off and are introduced to a awesome great cast member, I think his name was Joe, such a doll though!

So, he then proceeds to tell us that there was a small issue and that we had a balance...:eek:

We knew that we paid so i Had a rumbly in my tummy... and then he tells us...

It's ELEVEN CENTS!!!:headache: lol. But those of you who know us... eleven is our lucky number... (We met on 11.11) so we thought it was such an awesome sign and laughed it off as he deleted it :rotfl2:

He told us he hadn’t been able to put our arrival chocolate in our room (SO AWESOME):woohoo:

I had noticed before that other things weren’t normal, like the bed looked like it had been sat on, and the chairs were smushed on one side of the balcony but, I let go of my gut instinct (Cough:: Someone changed rooms::cough)

So, he leaves and we open the closet to get out the luggage holder and we notice… there is only one robe… hmm? :confused3

So, I kept my thought to myself because I didn’t want to upset vin. Originally, we were told we would have the fire works view(By a cast member two days before), so I was kind of surprised when I had gone outside and realized….

We were on the child side. Now don’t get me wrong, I love kids…I really do…but I heard some horror stories and was kind of worried.

I had this strange feeling all morning and at this point it just intensified. “Lets go somewhere” I told Vin.

So we ate a little and then decided to head to Magic Kingdom to get our cards activated.

We decided to take the boat, and let me tell you it’s a beautiful walk just to get to the port.

The boat is relaxing and theres always a breeze and even on your hottest day you are cool.

So, we headed over and waited on quite a long line for our annual passes but so worth it! And headed into the park.

The new parade had just begun so vin and I watched it for a bit and then headed into the shops… and got our new Bride and Groom Hats…

Now, ask Vinnie if he ever wore his outside the resort….

So after that, I remembered a little secret in one of the ally ways… but I’ll let vin tell you about that one :cool2:

We soon decided to head back because it was getting hot and we hadn’t had a proper meal…

So, we decided to see if Whispering Canyon was open and they smiled and told us “Sure!” And gave us a buzzer.

I’ll leave Vin to posting the food pictures from Whispering Canyon…Since he really enjoyed it!

The place is really really nice, but don’t go during lunch, there’s not much excitement.

Our server spoke really low and fast so Icouldnt really make out many of his jokes but let me tell you… The food was AMAZINGG!

Vin and I were so so excited and all we could talk about was the cruise later on with Emma(Disney Barbie) and when we saw that our luggage had arrived… we decided to unpack….

As we were unpacking… we heard some noises…

After being in the room for just a short while and starting to get settled in I turned around and saw crocs on the side of the bed.

I thought it was there the whole time and that I must have overlooked it, but it wasn’t.

Jen went on to tell me that there was going to be surprises everyday. Now I was smiling but was confused as to how Jen snuck a large amount of goods into her luggage without me knowing. Hmmm.

I tried them on and they fit just like Cinderellas slipper (lol)


I was forced to purchase a Mickey groom hat which looked more like a chimney sweeper’s hat lol. Ok maybe I wasn’t forced I kind of really liked the hat but there was no way I was going to wear that giant black hat in the baking sun.


While in MK Jen took me off to a side street and told me to listen. I didn’t know what I was listening for but I soon heard someone giving lessons and a piano playing.

She told me that this was a secret spot that she learned about from the Disboards. This was sooo cool. That’s when I told Jen that I was joining the Db when I got home.


When we were back in the WL resort we decided to stay local to get something to eat and both agreed on Whispering Canyon.

I thought it was just a regular eatery but boy was in for a scare. The cast members, who seated and served us, were talking some fast paced crazy jive to us and I didn’t know why.

I just wanted to eat and tried to ignore it but Jen told me that they were actors and not to be uptight.

I felt better after hearing that I guess I was in NYC mode. I guess I wasn’t use to screaming Ketchup on the top of their lungs.

Now lets get back to the good part,(the food)
They served us an all you can eat skillet of ribs, chicken, sausage and corn and we can’t forget the mashed potatoes and cornbread. Oh and delicious cold slaw! Forget the Beans

Im a big fan of ribs and mashed potatoes and I must say they were delicious. The chicken, sausage was also good but I was focusing more on the ribs. The corn and cornbread were great.

For those of you who don’t know, when you first walk into the whispering canyon, the tables are set up in a way to look like the old west.

We were in the hotel room finally unpacking. This was after the “Robe” issue…

Now, those of you who don’t know us, we hate the cold. Jen will walk around Disney in 80 degree weather in a sweatshirt and I can’t sleep with AC. So, we shut it off…

It was just then that we started to hear noises. Some screaming… and loud talking.
We both looked at eachother with concern b ecause we thought maybe our room was next to a cast member hide out and they were fighting. For about five minutes we tried to keep busy, and talk and not focus on the yelling we heard…

But then Jen said “Wait be quiet for a minute” That was when we could clearly hear…

“Yes we have the sweet life… Most of the time.. You and me we got the world to see…”

Yes, you guessed it. The suite life of Zack and Cody…was clearly coming through our room wall. That’s when we realized it was coming from the kids area right outside… they had put the television NEXT to the bed!

We thought for sure that at night they would shut it off so…we let it go…and laughed because it was clear we worried for no reason..
Instead, we walked around the hotel and snapped some more pictures…

Found it! So far, so good! I LOVE the WL! It's my favorite resort! I hope you LOVED it, aside from the "incidents." Isn't it just gorgeous!?

That placeis beautiful. It took a couple of days before vin figured out each bit of the architecture (He loved it) and how they built each and every piece. I seriously spend hours looking at it from the pool. Its just beautiful.

Did you wear your zip up there, cause that is what i think i saw, but it was in passing

YES why didnt u attack us!?! we went to the laugh factory and buzz light year!

And for the record, vinnie and I have stayed in probably over 20 hotels (not just disney) over the last 5 years from various vacation trips. Needless to say, we have NEVER asked to swith a room (We even had a room where we had to use a hanger to keep the water on!! but thats another story)

The Day One Finale...

So, besides listening to the Television, we decided it was time to get ready for the one major important thing that we couldn’t wait to do!...

Illuminations cruise with Emma and Family!!!

Now some of you may not know but, I had originally planned to surprise vin with the illuminations dessert party however, at the Rose andCrown…they are no longer doing this…

So one day, a magical little pixy messages me and asks me if I would want to join her and her family on an illuminations cruise!

I couldn’t believe that she invited us but let me tell you it was quite the blessing!!

So, Vin and I Were super excited and decided to head to the boardwalk early just because we didn’t want to miss it or be late!

So, time flew and before I knew it I saw Emma walking towards us…I WAS SO EXCITED! I think I practically attacked her with hugs (sorry emma!)

That said Birthday… we couldn’t stop laughing. They thought she had said birthday not wedding! They changed the sign to congratulations but kept the colorful balloons! Still totally awesome!

I am going to post a few pictures from the Boat ride. I am going to let Vin leave his review of the boat ride… We both agree though that anyone wanting to do it totally should. It was so much fun and really a nice treat!!

I was really excited about the fireworks. I am a huge firework fan. Jen can attest to it! I will find any reason to light them!

So, we got ready, and headed to meet Emma.

Oh wait…. Okay so the bathroom story…So I went to the bathroom… and as I was leaving, I forgot what way I entered, and literally walked into a closet. When I looked up all I saw was mops… detergents and soaps… Um…I was confused..:rotfl2:

I turn around.. and theres a guy standing there laughing at me. He made a joke about it though to make me feel not as uncomfortable (or dumb as I looked!!!) Wow… I was tired…


We drove around the lake to look at the different parks which was pretty awesome.


They served us wine and beer on the boat too. We had a little.

The weather really was perfect. It wasn’t too hot or too cold. Everyone was very comfortable. Once the sun went down we headed to Epcot.

The boat driver – Mike- parked us under an overpass in Mexico. There were other boats there as well .

A few questions were asked to the driver… I believe has this show ever been cancelled and the answer was twice, during one hurricane and 9-11 out of respect…

I really couldn’t believe Emma had asked for us to join her in such a special night! I kept saying “wow that was so awesome” and I was so excited!

Then we headed back to the dock and said our goodbyes! Emma gave me and Jen a gift which Jen says she is going to post later on. It was very thoughtful!

So, we headed back exhausted, and came across the Disney vacation club mickey….

We got some chocolate covered pretzels from the store, and hung out by the fireplace for a while. We were really tired, so we headed back up to the room to go to sleep…

So. We were woken up… to really loud screaming outside the room. It was 1:30 and so I was in panic mode. I thought for sure someone was hurt because the screaming continued. :scared1:

When we headed outside though…

IT WAS THE TELEVISION!!! That’s so Raven was on and she was hanging from a ceiling screaming. That’s right. Again the Television…:happytv:

So we called Disney Information (They won’t allow you to call the front desk-no button) and asked for them to turn off the television. We figured this wasn’t a bad request since kids are usually in bed at least by 12 (right?) We hadn’t slept since the wedding, and we really wanted to enjoy our honeymoon…

We waited… and waited…and waited and even tried to turn it off ourselves, but the button is not accessible on the childs side.

So about an hour later (we’re talking 330) we called Disney information again to try to be connected with the front desk. We explained that we were being kept up by the television outside our room and honestly, I was a mess…

I really still had whatever bug was going through me, and I kind of turned into a brat. I explained to them that we wanted to sleep and there were no children up at 330 in the morning. About ten minutes later the television was off… and we could fall asleep…

UNTIL the next morning….

OMG! that is crazy about the tv-so let me get this straight-it was the hotel tv for anyone who wants to sit and watch right outside your room that was kept on? i can't believe they did not come up right away when you called. also why is there a tv right outside rooms? that is kind of ridciulous. love the cruise you went on-it looked like so much fun! you and vin are so cute!

They explained its kept there for the childs area, but as to why its not turned off after a certain time is still a mystery.:cool2:

I totally love kids and dont mind them watching tv any other time, heck I was even watching TV with them at one time, but to keep it on all night and such a high volume...Doesn' t make sense.:confused3

The cruise is amazing. We are looking into doing it next year when we head up I just have to talk to my mom. Its either that or a dessert party (Then again it all depends on our job situation...ill get to that later!)

Supposidly they've only had them there for about 3 years...and i did read another thread of complaining honeymooners talking about how they tripped over strollers parked ourside their suite so im sure something will be done. We think we are going to write a letter...hmmm

Hey everyone!

So, I just wanted to say that we may be a little slow over the next week or so with the review...

Vin found out that the job he's wanted his whole life...called him for a physical and asked if he could start in September!

Thats the good news...

The bad news is that his dad accidently got a 2x4 piece of wood lodged into our pipe and its clogging our drainage... which means we may have to demolish the year of work we put into our kitchen...:headache:

So, keep your fingers crossed that both things work out perfectly and hassle free...so we can keep on with this journal!! lol

We are both working on the beginning of day two its just taking a while. We save in microsoft word due to past experiences of us losing all out typing:rotfl:

Day Two Begins with….
Oh My God What was that noise??

So, finally… the television was off at 330 am. Not only was I tired but my body was actually aching still from getting over that crazy bug…

I was in such a deep sleep…that I was dreaming about getting waffles at crystal palace, when Eeyore decided to join us. He took us to our own table and it was covered in tulle and a big huge gift that read “To the newlyweds”…

I was about to open eeyores amazing gift when I wake up, my heart throbbing out of my neck to…


“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MAAAAAAAA BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG…. HAHAHAHAAAHAHHAAA….”

“Oh my god” I Said in shock. I was actually trembling. You know when youre woken up out of a dead sleep scared and you have that disoriented shaky feeling? Well welcome to our day two….

Vin: “I Have no idea.”

And then

“Bang Bang, hahaha”

Kids.

Yeah. Kids. Kicking on our doors outside our room. The television was back on too. So there was no going back to bed.

I kind of turned into a monster and started to yell “GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR PEOPLE ARE IN HERE!” And the kind little monsters I guess ran away.

“Well if I’m up I might as well get some breakfast” so I headed to the Old Faithful, of course starring down the childs side- where the parents were sitting and not even paying attention to their kids…and got us breakfast.

Thank god. He hadn’t slept at all himself and his immune system really didn’t need lack of sleep…

Me, I couldn’t because my nerves were still out of wack…

So, I decided to head back downstairs and check out the gift shop a bit. They have an awesome new mickey and Minnie magnet… it’s a wedding one with a heart behind it and a cute frame. I HAD to have it lol

So, when I Got back up vin was up and we decided we should relax a little and hang out by the pool. I was still exhausted and attempting to keep myself awake. I can’t believe the bags under my eyes still…

The wilderness Lodge is beyond beautiful and the pool I can just sit at for hours

I really was starting to fall asleep on the chairs at one point… so vin woke me up by getting some awesome Pina Coolatas!

So, we knew we had a ressie for 6:30 at Biergarten and we figured since it was beyond early, we would head to Downtown Disney…

We really didn’t do much there. Honestly we were so exhausted and it was hot and I started to not feel too great.

Vin brought me over to the Pearl Factory… which I thought was very very pricey, and tried to get him to walk away…lol

We ended up stopping in the Basin store ( think that’s the place) and found some pretty awesome things…

A bath relaxing fizz ball….6.99
Mosquito Repellant Soap…5.99
And a wooden massager…7.99
Not getting bit by a mosquito the whole trip…priceless! Lol

Now getting home, that took FOREVER. I couldn’t wait to get home… it was the wrong bus first (We asked the guy… We said Wilderness Lodge…he said “YUP” fourty five minutes later, were at Fort wilderness… waiting for the Lodge bus…oh well…. We made a joke of it as usual and finally got on the right bus.

Finally we were back home, and could get ready to head on over to our favorite park!

We must say those pina coladas from the Trout Pass Pool Bar where really refreshing
especially when your baking in the Florida sun.


While in DTD I spotted The Pearl Factory and I wanted Jen to take a look, I’ve always wanted Jen to open up a pearl; both of us think it is really neat.

We stop by and Jen was shown some setting from a CM . I really wanted to get her something that would remind her of our Disneymoon, but of course she was being stubborn and told me she’ll think about it.

I told her that by the end of the trip she would be getting something.


Yeah, the bus trip home was forever, I think the driver changed his route mid trip or was confused himself. I don’t mind I’ve always enjoyed Disney bus service especially the music.

what did your husband get(job wise) thats sooo AWESOME you dont even know! i'm waiting ever so patiently on a phone call from a job I had an interview on Weds. 7/29/09 .. the interview was 1 hr and sounded so promising etc. then on Mon. 8/3/09 one of my references were called and emailed me--ever since then the interview person fell off the face of the earth:sad1: i'm affraid i dont have the job now.. so heres the deal he also said at our interview he would be calling early next week.. well its now Saturday 8/8 of that week and no call.. so I kindly called him late Thurs. 8/6 and kindly said i'm following up from the interview and that i was serious and interested and asked for a call OR email, i gave him many options haha.. to contact me.. and nope no return call.. not sure if thats good or not!? maybe hes waiting to call me beginning of THIS week now? and that he was waiting for my background check to come back?? ahh i hope so i really want and need this job SO BAD!

He currently works at the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, Catholic Newspaper- the Tablet and their website. But, it seems as though he has finally gotten into the Electrical Union! Something he's wanted for years and he got his wish before he's 30...so thats pretty awesome.

It starts off slow and a pain (five years of apprenticeship) but, we're young so who cares!:cool1: As long as he's happy..

Now if we can get the wood of of this pipe that would be another story...

I often wonder about the 7th floor at the WL. Only stayed at 4th & 5th floor. Now that I kinda know the layout, not sure I would want to try the club level room. The TV noise would've sent me off the edge.

So I finally get to see the infamous secret Disney Crocs you mentioned in my TR. It's not too bad. My DW has a pair of red ones and I still haven't wear my Disney Crocs flip-flop yet.

WCC is an awesome restaurant. Do you try their milkshake? It's the best in the whole WDW.

Very cool firework experience. :thumbsup2 If I was that close, my camera would've gone over drive.

I just caught up on day 2...I'm loving it...but note to self...No rooms by TVs...What was Disney thinking with this one! I hope you get some sleep during your honeymoon!!!

Vin-I think its adorable how you wanted to get her a pearl...made me pull out the one I got last time we were in Epcot. It's an 8mm pink pearl ring...the only problem is that it is 3 sizes too big...WHOOPS! I didn't take into account the swelling in my fingers! I haven't had it sized since 2006...So, guess what is on the agenda this week!
(and I want to make sure DF doesn't say I can't do it again-I loved the experience! :rotfl:)

That’s so great that Vinny has the job he’s always wanted. I always wanted to be an interior designer or to work in the music industry (I had work experience at Sony BMG record studios and got to meet a few famous faces but I loved the atmosphere of that workplace) and the interior designer phase has always been with me- but I just cant do the 7 years at university to do it. It’s a big achievement to get into a job that you have always wanted to do. Lately I have been thinking I would like to care for people (like old people), but family keep telling me I would become too attached to them and I would be hard for me when they go. Its something I might think about in the far future! So well done Vin! :thumbsup2

I would have lost it when the kids were screaming outside the door- I think there is nothing worse than being woken up on holiday by inconsiderate people (or kids for this instance!) did you have a honeymoon suite on your door? If I was one of those kids parents I would make sure they weren’t near anybody’s room- even if the kids play area was near someone’s door I would not let them play there- I would make them play in the room or take them outside (god knows what the parents were upto leaving them to run riot outside other peoples rooms!!!!) Some people don’t have any respect! (Like when we was on hols this year and those teenagers kept waking us up shouting and laughing at the top of their voices on the balcony at 3am in the morning!!)

It’s so horrible feeling tired on holiday – especially in a place like Disney where you need a heap of energy to keep you going for the day! And Disneymooners need LOTS of rest! ;) Hehe!!

Those pina coladas look yummy and refreshing! Its so sweet Vinny wanted to get you something from the Pearl Shop- but I agree with you Jenny; most of the bits in there are really pricey although last year I really wanted some pearl earrings but when we went there it would have cost $100+ (I cant remember the exact price but it was over $100!! to get the pearls fresh and get them set in earrings!!

Oh YAY for FOOD PORN PICS!! :banana: I loveee the watermelon in Orlando – it tastes SO different from the melon you get in the UK, in Orlando I always get fresh melon and it has sooo much taste but here in the UK they taste of nothing!

And yay for the hidden mickey- I can never find any- maybe it’s because im blind as a bat but everyone seems to spot them but me hehee!

Vinny- I bet you loved all the surprises Jenny got you- did you like the Crocs!!?? She is a good wife isn’t she!

So that’s a bummer with the piping in your kitchen- I hope it isn’t that bad that you have to have to disturb your kitchen!!

Lol not too facinating. Vins father was trying to avoid leaves from going down the pipe and put the 2x4... when the big rain came- the wood went down instead of the leaves!:rotfl2:

So…off we went…

And… now for the “WAIT..HUH? YOU LIKE THAT??”

Um- maybe I’ll wait because I still can’t believe what I heard… Vin- you can explain my shock and amazement of the Beverly- and your taste buds…:confused3

As always this is my favorite place. We stayed there for long enough that we were able to actually watch the show twice! Awesome! Once they take out those bells I get really excited- I don’t understand how they play them!!!!:confused:

So- we were done and finished up the Kim possible game in England (PS- Definitely do England- I happen to think it’s the best!) and Vin got a beer from Rose and Crown (Guiness…yum-o!)

And we headed back…. And here’s where the “FUN” begins.

The TV was on again- And blasting. It was 9:40 so we could understand…

So Vin decided to call the “Disney Help Line” or whatever they called it and explained to them that we were hoping at least by ELEVEN the TV would be turned off…or at least lowered…by twelve…

And so… here we were… at 12:00 and the TV was still blasting. Were there any children outside? Nope. So why was it on?

So, Vin called again and explained to them the situation and kindly explained that he would like to know if this will be happening every night for the next eleven days…

That’s when I had it. Ten minutes later when the TV was still on- I said “LETS GO” and went downstairs.(This was around 1:20):scared1::scared1:

I was tired….an emotional wreck… and the boy at the counter- Peter I believe- was too kind…

Peter “Hi, how can I help you tonight?”
Me “We have a huge problem! Weve been waiting for the TV to be shut off.My husband (hehe got to use husband) called and explained that its directly next to our bed, and we don’t have the AC on because we don’t like the cold so we can hear it and cant sleep! We just got married Friday, and havn’t been able to sleep in TWO WEEKS and I want sleep”:sad1:

Peter: “ I am so so sorry maam”
Me- interrupting- “And this morning we got woken up at like 5am by kids banging on our door!”
Peter-“Well we certainly do not accept our visitors being unhappy. Let me go talk to my supervisor and get back to you”

That’s when Ibroke down. I felt so bad. I couldn’t stop crying. I never cry in public but I think I was so exhausted that I couldn’t handle much more. This was our honeymoon after all… I felt like we shouldn’t have had to complain you know?:guilty:

Peter came back and explained that we would be moving to the other side away from the TV tomorrow…. And I was so happy. :worship:

When we got upstairs we found out that they couldn’t find the remote and in turn had to unplug the TV..hmmm…


And then tomorrow starts…
“The Forever Wait of Lies…” and

“The Mad Dash to 1900 Park Fare!”

So, we headed into the Club Cool:cool1:- and I was unaware- because I was never there before, and I thought it was pretty interesting that we could try all those sodas. Jen kept tempting me to try the Beverly first. So, I got my cup- and I reached- and at first-

I said "Wow this tastes really good"

Jen’s reaction was “WAIT did you try the right one?” In turn taking a sip and saying “Blah that’s disgusting are you serious”

So then I tried it again and said “Its not the best tasting soda but- I liked the flavor. It kind of taste like licorice”

And then some kid came up to us out of the blue- pointed to the Beverly and said “Whatever you do don’t try that one!” lol

We went on to try all the others but I wasn’t too impressed by the others. But I must say that both Jen and I loved the Japanese one.

Out of all the places in Epcot, I still find Germany to be the most interesting and full of pleasure. It has the show/entertainment and I really enjoy that.

When it comes to the food- I really enjoy it- It has to be one of the best places in Disney to have a dinner.

My favorite item there has to be the sausages. But, I also enjoy the German Potroast. Their vegetables are always fresh as well and delicious. I recommend anyone to go there even if you’re a a vegetarian.

The desserts are out of this world. The chocolate cake is amazing, the streudal is delicious. They also have a German cheese cake that is very light- and close to a terra misu type.

We had a small issue though when in Germany. As you know in Germany you are required to sit with other couples and share a dinner table with them. For some STRANGE reason, this one couple, no matter what did not want to sit with us! :confused3:confused3

They even spoke to the hostess to sit with someone else! They wanted to keep to themselves, and that’s fine, but they made it very uncomfortable for us! Oh well. We still had an amazing time!

Then I was approached by someone from the Disboards(Such a sweetheart) who recognized my picture and was looking for Jen. That made our day !

Rose and Crown

While playing the game Kim Possible- we went to England to go to our next mission and I decided to get a guiness from Rose and Crown. To get the guiness took some time and I was wondering why but when I finally got it, in the foam was a shamrock! So awesome! I thought it was so cool!I wish I would have taken a picture of that!


Back at the Hotel...
I was really getting tired of the situation (literally) My main feeling was that I figured since we stayed in Carribbean Beach- any problem we had was addressed and we love staying there.

I was surprised because it is a deluxe resort and everything took forever- even to get information.

I was really upset because I had called, over and over, and then spoken to the front desk. And nothing was done about the situation. Again just so disappointing that we took the extra step to have it corrected earlier and nothing was solved.

However- when you are finally speaking to someone who actually cares- Peter the CM- we finally got the room. It wasn’t fair though that it took jen crying on our honeymoon to resolve our issue.

Then we had to pack…again. So we had to re-pack our twelve days worth of clothes- that we just put away….which I thought was also annoying but what can you do?

And just when we thought it was over…the next day comes… lol:rotfl2:

Actually everything seemed to have gone very well. I received a letter to go to orientation on Monday. From there I'll find out more about whats going on and when Im actually going to be starting.

Biergarten is great!! We loved it there last year - your making me wish we had an ADR there again! We sat with this fun Mexican family who basically adopted us!:)

Thats what we did. It took a while to sort it out because I wasn't sure how to work it but it was great! Thats how we got all our pics. I will definitely be posting many many more that came out amazing!

It was pretty embarassing. There was a man behind me and I knew I was making a scene but it was almost 2am and that wasnt fair!

Hi Everyone!

So Vins back at work today...

AND PUTTING IN HIS TWO WEEKS NOTICE!

He starts September 9th (The same day as my first day) And we are so so excited. He really is happy with the union. In three years, they will pay for both he and I to get our masters! Im sure that means great benefits for our kids when we have them...YEARS from now:rotfl2:

I wrote in my other journal that our closet system collapsed. It looked like a mountain of clothes and books and such all piled up in the walk in closet...whoops.... So one step back...but thats okay because...

Vin called in sick yesterday and we got to go for dinner to celebrate our One Month! YAY. Cheesy yes but- it was nice. So strange that 11 and 17 follow us around so much. Yesterday was his orientation-one month from our wedding so cool! lol

Okay enough blabber. Im working on Day Three...which you may consider rahter boring but there is totally a "HUH" factor with the hotel again...

You know, I totally think they should give us a honeymoon re-do and let us rate them again...lol:rotfl2:

On our honeymoon in Hawaii we had to ask to switch rooms after 3 nights of listening to yelling, blaring music, and just an array of loud noises through the paper thing walls of our resort. We actually made them move us at night around 11:30 p.m. and asked for a room with no one on either side of us, it was heavenly to finally get some sleep :goodvibes

I tricked people into trying Beverly at our wedding too. I said in one of our newsletters to make sure to try it out (as a test to see if anyone actually read the newsletters) and I had 4 or 5 people tell me they couldn't understand why I liked it :lmao:

Have you made an official complaint to Disney & the Honeymoons department?? You totally should write up the biggest complaint letter and demand some kind of compensation after all that you went through!

Its worth trying as they might give you something, and dont just accept an apology letter- after all, how many $$$$$$$ did you spend on your hotel and in the parks- PLUS it was your Honeymoon! The least they can do is give you something for free?

I loved it too. Originally vin wanted to get married in Japan or Morocco but we see how that turned out- so this surprise was definitely for him :)

we have had bad luck on trips before and never got the perfect room but then other times we have moved and it was bliss....but I have to say that be careful of what you wish for because the 2nd room isn't always better....like gee there was a reason it was open;);)

I am soooo sorry about your experience at WL! Not that I have any control over it or anything, but I do feel bad for you and Vin. :guilty: We have stayed there three times and have had nothing but the best service, but we never stayed on the 7th floor. There is no sense in people letting their kids run around and act like little vermits even if they are on vacation. And the Lodge should have a timer on that t.v. to shut off at a decent hour. I also don't understand why they would place a honeymoon suite beside a childs play area. :confused: You are a lot more patient than I am, don't feel bad for your breakdown because they had it coming.

It really depends on how you do a trip to Hawaii on whether or not it will cost you a fortune. We went to two islands - Maui and Oahu - which added a lot of extra cost because we had airfare back and forth. All together we were in Hawaii for 8 nights and spent around $4K which included all of our accomodations, car rental for part of the time, food, hotel, and flights there and between the islands. The rooms are super expensive. We've said if we ever go back it would be nice to travel with another couple to cut down on expenses. I see great deals all the time for short 4 and 5 night get aways to Oahu though, so I know you can do it for a lot less than we paid :goodvibes

We really didnt get it either. I was shocked because my reading on the WL for the last TWO years has been one of happy, wonderful memories. Its rated like, the best out of all the resorts. Some say that it could be because of the cutbacks. Maybe...but I dont think that makes a difference withthe TV at all. I mean- it had to be loud to be woken up by screaming on TV right?

Im glad you guys see we arent the "WE HAVE A PROBLEM" type of people who look for anything to complain about. There was a couple however there when we were there who complained about not getting served in ten minutes-that they were waiting for ten minutes after they were seated and demanded a free breakfast. Made me scared that what we did was similar-but I dont think it is...phew!

love the report so far! Can't believe about WL....That is totally where we want to stay for ours next year! Can't wait for the next installment!

Definitely do the illuminations. It was absolutely unbelieveable. I kid you not- it was wonderful and I think if we have the funds I may do it next year with my mom!

Biergarten is my favorite place to eat-no matter what. Their pretzels are amazing, their food is amazing and their salads are amazing. Its the only place that the atmosphere is so friendly and just- a copy of germany! So so wonderful!

Vin and I were talking this weekend about what a few people had said to us...

"HOW did you stay so calm"

And the way we figured it out was... that we have had SO MANY amazing times in Disney in the last couple of years- One year I went twice within a month- with no problems...

That this one instance- we didn't take it too much to heart at the time because we were probably a little shocked...

Almost like your favorite cousin who you love a whole lot- but one day acts a little mean to you- and maybe says some things they didnt mean....

Its still your FAVORITE cousin- so it hurts, yes- but you still have the image of that person before the bad freak out....

Does that make any sense?

We still have this "magical" image of Disney in our heads. So- we were more forgiving because of the disney we have known- rather than the Disney that we had just saw...

I guess thats why we are already planning our honeymoon re-do for next year!

Subscribing.I saw your original post on the resorts board and followed over. Congrats to Vin on the union! My DH works closely with the NY locals and he always speaks so highly of them. Your photos are great. I would have never thought of dining at the Biergarten before I saw your pictures.

You two absolutely have the best attitude about your honeymoon. If you're in love and enjoying each other and basking in the happiness of your wedding, it's not that hard to deal with adversity. I'm sad that you wound up in tears, but bridal stress and sleep deprivation will do that to a girl.

At my wedding, someone stole $1800 out of my pocketbook. Honestly, it was the best day for that to happen. We just opened envelopes until we made it up. Our honeymoon was a split between Nevis and St. Maarten. The TA told us we were all paid up. What a surprise when the innkeeper in Nevis asked for another $2000 and said he didn't take credit cards! (He accepted an imprint of my Amex card and we mailed a check when we got home.)In St. Maarten, we checked in to our hotel to find that the hotel was under construction, certain wings weren't available and our room had...two double beds. We weren't happy, but we just kind of rolled with it and pushed the beds together. They must have been older because there was about a 3 inch difference in height between them.

However, looking back on it, I still had a great honeymoon and our personalities have always meshed, so that we can handle stuff like that. I left on that honeymoon 22 years ago today.

Subscribing.I saw your original post on the resorts board and followed over. Congrats to Vin on the union! My DH works closely with the NY locals and he always speaks so highly of them. Your photos are great. I would have never thought of dining at the Biergarten before I saw your pictures.

You two absolutely have the best attitude about your honeymoon. If you're in love and enjoying each other and basking in the happiness of your wedding, it's not that hard to deal with adversity. I'm sad that you wound up in tears, but bridal stress and sleep deprivation will do that to a girl.

At my wedding, someone stole $1800 out of my pocketbook. Honestly, it was the best day for that to happen. We just opened envelopes until we made it up. Our honeymoon was a split between Nevis and St. Maarten. The TA told us we were all paid up. What a surprise when the innkeeper in Nevis asked for another $2000 and said he didn't take credit cards! (He accepted an imprint of my Amex card and we mailed a check when we got home.)In St. Maarten, we checked in to our hotel to find that the hotel was under construction, certain wings weren't available and our room had...two double beds. We weren't happy, but we just kind of rolled with it and pushed the beds together. They must have been older because there was about a 3 inch difference in height between them.

However, looking back on it, I still had a great honeymoon and our personalities have always meshed, so that we can handle stuff like that. I left on that honeymoon 22 years ago today.
Wow unreal.

It is pretty awesome though to put the problems aside and just...be happy!

Disney Day Three

It’s a New Day….at the Wilderness Lodge…

So, although we knew we had to wake up early- We didn’t realize how much the waking up really early would effect our mood!

The phone rang at around 6am- and left us message (Why of course I didn’t pick up! Loll)

“Hello this is the front desk calling. We just wanted to let you know that you are to be out of your room by Eight O Clock AM in order for us to complete your room change request. If we do not hear from you by Ten Oclock your room change will be cancelled. Have a magical day”

BUGGER

I literally felt beyond exhausted. My body was aching and I was just…tired. You could see Vins eyes were definitely feeling the exhaustion (As said before- he needs his rest because of his immune issue) and I started to get a bit worried…

But- I smiled…and so did he and we both agreed that “ At least tonight we’ll be able to sleep!”

Vin and I smiled at eachother, threw on some clothes (Ones of course acceptable to walk outside with- bazooka pjs are definitely a NO!lol)

So,we headed to the old faithful club to get some breakfast and called the bell hop.

We decided to take advantage of not being able to travel- and missing ressies- and throw on our bathing suits before bell hop came so we could head to the pool after we went to the front desk….

But not before saying GOODBYE to our old room (hehehe)

We headed downstairs and the concierge desk explained that we would be called when our new room was ready. We had saw the couple leaving this morning around 8am so we thought for sure that the room would be ready early…

I even said “Can you make sure you have my right number” just incase…

But- we were off!

It was around 12:00 and so we decided, whose it going to hurt if we go to see if the room is ready. So, off to Concierge- only to find out it wasn’t…

We were hungry and decided to go to Roaring Forks.

I have a stomach issue- and can rarely even finish a kids meal- so we got a double cheeseburger and cut it (enough for me to have a nice size- but vin got most of it)

It was super good. Roaring forks is a nice quick meal place If you have nothing else to do and want a meal….

However, we really started to feel the tiredness now… We decided since we had been baking in the sun that we would sit inside…

Okay then? Why weren’t we called? We were upset but, we totally let it go because WE HAD A ROOM!!!!

So, we jumped in the elevator to take showers because we felt so so grose!

that special phone call from the front desk, but it never came.
Just remember to wear a hat if you decide to fall asleep on a lounge chair in the basking sun. I woke up with a red scalp, lol.

That when Jen came up with the idea of going to 1900 Park fare. So went to the front desk and asked if there were any openings and she said yes just one.
She tried to get us in but the computer wouldn’t allow her since it was under and hour and said the best bet would be to try to go there.
So off we went on our mad dash to GF. We jumped on the bus to MK connected to the monorail and finally GF.
We got on the elevator went to the wrong floor lol (that was Jens fault) and finally made it to 1900 on a nice size line.
The CM fit us in with no problem! With a MINUTE within the open reservation time!
We were seated and told to help our selves.
1900 is a buffet that has stations that they serve food from different countries.
They introduce the characters and then they come around to the tables.
Only Cinderella and Prince came to us for some reason, but that’s okay.

The desserts were a buffet kind of thing too. I am trying to learn to load video so that I can show you guys what the inside looks like. Any pointers? lol...

Its the same as the pictures i had, but what it would be would be, on the left side would be magic cookie bars, brownies, cookies (sugar and chocolate) and then on the right side there was always a cobbler (blueberry, berry, chocolate, apple etc)

Then further down would be all the nightly liquors. I found my favorite thing there! Its a fruity bottle with an elephant...tastes a little like baileys with an orange taste to it...

I put it into my tea one day and OH MY GOD i wanted it every night!

Then there was the cappucini/hot chocolate/expresso/decaf/coffee/tea/water machine lol. And beer...always loads of beer.YUM. Those brownies were very cake tasting with a chocolate butter cream on top. I personally loved the magic cookie bar. It was a mix of coco nut, chocolate chips, peanut butter and i think caramel. Not sure though lol

The pool is unbelieveable. I have some more pics ill post another day but its jsut so wonderful. We had a great time and one day we find a special little area...we'll post that soon too!!

Its truely okay... I mean at the time- it stunk but there was no way we were going to have our honeymoon off to a bad start. Plus, chocolate covered pretzels always help with that!!!!!!!!!!

The fireworks are so amazing. Originally when we were getting married in WDW we wanted the private fireworks...BUT... this was better! IT was fireworks every night! lol

I downloaded "disney" font and and then added in the information that I wanted in there.

For the front i bought disney scrap booking paper and bought disney stickers...Ill post pictures of it to have u get a better look if u want! It was usper easy but it was so worth the time!

Despite the early morning, it seems like it would be really cool to have a day to spend relaxing at the hotel. Out of all the times I've been to Disney I've never taken the time to hang out at the hotel at the pool during the day, we usually run there at the end of the night after spending the whole day at the park.

I love all the cute shots of the two of you together. That's one disappointment I have from our honeymoon, we only have 2 pictures of us together :upsidedow

Since I was not in class to hear the conversation and my son sometimes does not explain things very well. Anyways the question was "Figure out how much attitude it takes to pass third grade". He said before leaving to go home she said it takes a 100 and tell what makes it a 100. To me it seems something is missing in this question. Color me stupid because I do not know how to help him answer this. I gave hime the definition for attitude and told him to take it from there. So any ideas what the teacher is talking about?:confused::confused:

Thanks, I hope he get the answer today beacuse it killing me not know what it is. He answered "I will give 100% good and positive attitude toward my school work, classmates, and my teachers to pass third grade". Thanks, I hope he get the answer today beacuse it killing me not know what it is. He answered "I will give 100% good and positive attitude toward my school work, classmates, and my teachers to pass third grade". I will let you know what it is if he comes home with the answer, if he doesn't I may call the teacher next week just to find out what it is. :rotfl:

Okay so Doreen had a Baby Boy!! Still to be named!!
7lbs 4 ounces, 19 inches!

He is absolutely beautiful- and I mean beautiful!!!!!!!! He looks just like our nephew Sal!!!!! I can't believe we are so luck to have another baby in the family!!

I just wanted to say, that I love your post! I can not wait to read more! My husband and I first stayed at the WL on our first visit together (as boyfriend/girlfriend) in September 2004. We were there for Hurricane Frances, and luckily snuck in 3 days before the storm hit. We were then held on lockdown there for 2 days. While at the time we were sad to not be enjoying Disney, we made some great memories made nonetheless ... and we now realize that is where the magic began for us. My husband has been hooked ever since, and we have returned each year since 2004. This November, we are going back for (2) days at WL -- our first return back -- (then heading to BWI) .... we can't wait to go back to where it all began!! I know this trip will be very special, and your post helps make it all the more exciting....

As you said, just because things may not go the right way, does not mean, that memories can not be made. We are a testament to that -- 5 years later!

Hi guys!
Again we wanted to come on to apoligise about not updating. It seems as though life has taken us by the hand and thrown us on a rollercoaster.

We've been away from the house...ALOT. Vins been working and goin to school for training this past week/end non stop, and he was asked by his old boss to come in to put the tablets website up...

We started the next day (I PROMISE) but we havnt finished. I promise there will be loads of pics though!

So vin got home at like 930 last night, and we had to take the plates off my car (insurance) and pullit in the back, vin still hadnt eaten....
I am thinking i may post my version of day three (OMG thats all were on?) and then have vin respond when he can. Im too excited to post all the pictures and stuff we did while we were tehre!
Work here is terribly boring, the children are testing the next two weeks for the state so we are just...bored teachers. I played some music yesterday to cheer them up. Oh how I think I will be a terrible wife and post some disney journal tomorrow...
