I let my son borrow my cell phone while he was at camp. Then he didn't even have service at camp :headache:

He checked messages on the way home because I had called. But, so had Disney. He thought he saved it but, it must have been deleted. He said that the message said that we had until the 26th of July to pay off our trip and the balance was $1050.00. :confused3 The trip has been paid off since the beginning of July. I am so confused because the balance was never in the one thousands it was two thousand something. Almost three. :confused3 They said I had until the 26th to call or they would cancel our trip. :scared1: I tried to retrieve the info online but, I can't remember my log in information. I have the paperwork complete for the trip, and the confirmation email saying it is paid in full.

What happens if Disney cancels our trip. I looked to see if there is available rooms in POR- for 5 and there isn't for all our dates. UGH!!! and of course disney is closed until tomorrow. :headache:

Any idea what Disney will do if there is no room for us?

Help!!! I am stressing even though I know it will work out, I am having trouble wondering if fees could have gone up or gotten forgotten hence the extra $$$ due. I don't have it in the budget. That is how this is budget related, I don't know what I will do if the balance did go up a thousand. I can't come up with it, and I don't want to take it out of ER savings, Disney as much as I want to go, it wouldn't be an ER.

HELP!!!!!

Call in the morning, they should be able to look you up by your phone number, and then check your balance. Hopefully someone just called the wrong # and got you by mistake, You could be (example) Mrs. Jones in a long list of Jones.
That said, we had a balance showing when we checked in, that was in error. We were paid in full 45 days out. I think we got upgraded, and the charge was on screen, but the manager cleared that up within a few minutes.

Don't sweat it yet.
Call tomorrow. And find out. We had a similar freak out when Disney visa screwed me. I was able to do a pay by check over the phone thing. And I Said I was afraid you would cancel my reservation. She replied "We don't do that= if you have made the deposit- and have a balance it won't get automatically canceled."
So I think there is hope. Don't panic.

ugh :scared1: now, I figured out my password. But, it says they can't find my reservation. Is this a bad sign or is Disney just having problems with us retrieving our reservations online, can someone else check their reservation and see if they can view theirs right now. Please:lovestruc

Thanks

Are you clicking through your confirmation email? You should be going right into your info.
Find that confirmation email and click on the "view my details" or something in the email.
Good luck.

Disney will find room for you and if you have paid in full (this year) and have your paperwork you really don't have anything to worry about. They don't raise rates without there being a change in season/year and you get notice in advance.

I am sure everything will be fine. I did try and pull up mine to see if it came up and it did. If Disney made a mistake they will fix it. I hate for you to worry when everything will work out. Good luck! Keep us updated.

I had a similiar situation happen to us back in 2005. It was our 25th anniversary trip so we booked the Grand Floridian and the AKL months in advance. Everything was all set and paid for in full. I verified everything over the phone both before and after payment. I received all the yellow confirmation notices. About a month before our trip I get another yellow envelope in the mail stating all had been cancelled. I went straight to panic mode.:scared1: I phoned immediately and I'm sorry to tell you, I didn't get much satisfaction until I literally started to cry. :sad1: I can't remember who actually helped me, but they were able to reinstate my ressies after I was told in no uncertain terms that they were completely booked. My advice to you would be to get on the phone ASAP and don't take no for an answer until they give you back what you booked.

So why was it canceled? Was there an explanation?

Thanks guys for the support, I will let you know what happens after I call in the morning. I just don't understand. I am praying it is a mistake. But, since I can't pull it up it really makes me nervous.

I will just have to sleep and see. Surely Disney will make it right if it was cancelled since I have all the paperwork.

Night all! Thanks again for the encouragement.

Well, keeping my fingers crossed it was just some freak thing. We had our ressie cancelled a few weeks ago for no known reason. Luckily they quickly reinstated it. I was online making ADRs and realised it wasnt pulling info up, so we called. Im sure since you have all of your paperwork and canceled check or credit card statement, whatever, they will fix it. Sucks that you had to stress about it all night. Im curious as to their explaination, if you even get one. O well, hope you get some sleep tonight, Im sure they will fix it up.

That's the thing...no one would give me a reason or take responsibility for cancelling it. The only thing I could think of is that I made a request and that triggered the cancelation. Who knows. I just know I was planning for months, extremely upset and they could care less. This was during Christmas season so rooms were harder to get last minute.

Hang in there, everything will work out!
I have called Disney three times (this morning will be time #4) because they simply HAVE not sent me an email confirmation! I've gotten my ME stuff, and luggage tags, but no email or mail confirmation saying YOU PAID YOUR ENTIRE TRIP. Everytime I speak to a CM on the phone, they agree that my balance has been paid, BUT I just want a tangible piece of paper that I can print. Every time I've called, they have insisted they'll send a new one straight away. And they haven't yet!

I know you are probably checking this - but I have two thoughts...did you check your junk or spam folder? And the other thought - did you verify your e-mail address with them? (I know that sounds stupid - but every once in a while - like yesterday - I will give my work e-mail out wrong - I included my middle initial - which is in my home e-mail, not my work e-mail)

ER savings is Emergency Savings- I understand, we get so many letter abbreviations going that it is hard to decifer sometimes what is being said :rotfl:

Well, the first person I talked to this morning was rude, informed me (after I had told her it was paid in full) that if I would pay it ontime (which it was) at the 45 day mark then Iwouldn't have this problem. And that ALL reservations not paid by that deadline are automatically cancelled. From this board I know that isn't true. Well, she continued to lecture me on how I should pay my bills ontime :scared1:  I finally said you don't want to listen because this is paid for, so can I talk to someone else. She said sure you can always call back but, I can't transfer you. I asked for a supervisor because at this point she was telling me I didn't have a reservation and I was in a panic..... :scared1: she said sure, what sounded like a slam of the phone followed by silence. I waited on "hold" for over 30 minutes with no music nothing but silence. I finally gave up and called back.

I got a hold of Neil, he was very nice. He was great  He was able to look up my reservation, tell me it was paid for, send me an email (that I haven't got yet, I guess it can take up to 24 hours) and make me feel better about the situation. He can't figure out why I can't pull the reservation up online, so he was going to look into that but, assured me it is all there and we are fine and will have a great room at POR when we arrive Aug. 18. I am getting so excited again.

Thanks guys for the support. :goodvibes It was very nerve wracking. They have no idea why we received the call about a balance that doesn't exist. They assured me it wasn't my balance. I am so thankful that it was nothing. :woohoo:

Have a magical day!

I'm glad that everything worked out for you!

I wish I'd seen this last night, I haven't been able to pull my reservation up online for a few days now. It tells me they are encountering errors. Oh well.

Just got the email confirmation. WEW!!!! I feel so much better, who knows what the glitch was. The agent said he could see where the call was placed but, he can't figure out why because it was paid in full 2+ weeks before that.

What ever it was I am glad it is fine. Makes me :yay: for joy.

I hope you noted the name of the person who was so rude and will follow up with a complaint. Disney needs to know when they have an employee who is so inappropriate. While they should at least randomly monitor calls, they may not know unless you tell them.

With the economy like it is now, they can and should boot this person out and find someone who knows how to treat a future guest. That is totally unacceptable and I would certainly take my time to report it if it happened to me.
