We started out in Wareham dropping my daughter off. My dh has never been to the cape...thought I would bring him for a tour.

The day started out kind of dreary...but as you will see....it turned out to be a great day!!

Great pictures! You definitely captured the essence of the Cape. I'm going there in a couple weeks for my yearly trip there - first trip with my DSLR!

Thank you!! I actually took about 140 pictures but really don't want to put them ALL here! I love the Cape...I had forgotten how much I LOVE Provincetown...so many beautiful things to take pictures of...I hope you're planning to visit there as well.

Nice shots... love the Chatham Light pics... well done.

I was down in Wareham today for a bid, had to pick up the kids after they spent the weekend at my parents house.

I need get down on the Cape sometime and get more pics. There is so much to photograph down there.

Awesome pictures!! I havent been to the Cape or Massachusetts since my stepdad passed away in '95. I would love to make a trip there again ... especially out to Martha's Vineyard. My stepdad worked for the ferry out of New Bedford and could get us out to the island for free and I have a few pics on film but would love to repeat those visits with a dslr.

Thanks Kyle!! We got to Chatham light at the perfect time! I think my son was thrilled that the sun had finally set so mom would stop taking pictures for the day!! LOL
I am heading down tomorrow to get my daughter...she has been there at my sisters since Thursday. My DD and niece volunteered with the PMC there in Wareham...its the third year doing it together.

You should go take some pictures.

I have never been out to the islands. I would love to go sometime! Take the time to go again...you won't regret it!
You have to take time to stop and smell the roses!

Hey Sis,

Nice pictures. I wish I was able to go with you but then who
would take care of the girls and run the shop. Maybe someday.
I would love to see some more of your photos. Bring your camera
with you tomorrow so I can take a look. I just jumped on to check
another thread and now I have to get back to work. See you tomorrow.

Everything is great! I am in all Gatemen mode now so until next week, my life is baseball. After that, I may try other aspects of photography again!

Hey Brenda,

I loved seeing all your pictures of the cape when you were here. My Favorite is the one above of the house with the gorgous window boxes and the American Flag hanging on the front. I think a 5 x 7 would be beautiful matted & framed to go in my livingroom. Maybe for christmas.

Thank you for this!! I grew up in West Bridgewater and moved to NJ with my Mom in '89. I went back several times a year until my Dad retired to SC two years ago. I have been with my DH since I moved here in '89 and he has NEVER been to the Cape. He is convinced its all rocky beaches or .....something, I don't know. I can't wait to show him your photos. You may have single-handedly convinced him with one post, what I couldn't in nearly 20 years!

I was just to the cape week of Aug 2. Great week little rain for a change. After seeing your pictures we did make a stop at the bakery for the fried dough soo good not to healthy. I took a lot of pictures with my new canon XSi still have to work on downloading so far I have just been taking lots of pictures. We went on the whale watch and I got some really great pictures, I think.

On our way back today after my son gets home from a party, we have a place in Eastham.
I have found people who like the Jersey shore usually don't like the Cape. The crowds in the summer seem to get bigger every year.

Baseball is our life too. My husband did not get to see any Cape games this year but did follow on the computer. One of my sons coaches from Rutgers was coaching up there this year.

I will try to teach myself how to get the pictures from my camera to the dis boards on this vacation. Wish me luck.
