Hi. how and what is a must for a weekend retreat? I am not going until the first of Dec, but at last years retreat ladies had sooo much scrapbooking material. Is there a site I could look at, to find good storage containers? DD's boyfriend just airbrushed me a hot pink, three drawer tool box that fits all of my organized stamping material.

I pack page kits in zip lock bags, put them in my rolling tote and take my basic tools in the tabletop bag in which they reside. I also take a table light and an extension cord.

I kit my photos- if you look at the tutorials in the stickies there is a link to my kitting with pictures (has pictures of what I do). Sometimes I will put the kits in bags but I like to use my 12 by 12 accoridian folders or my iris boxes for kitting but really it is just a matter if using what you have. I generally like to have a theme for each set I am doing so the embellishments and such are matching (I don't have to bring as much). I also tend to try and kit into a bunch of smaller organizers instead of having 120 plus kits in the same container- I can leave some of the bags/ect in the car or room until I am ready to work on them and I don't have as much under my feet.
I take my 1 brad and eyelet bin with my basic colors but leave the rest home unless I have specific ones that go with what I am doing. I do bring along my color bags of ribbon, ect for each of the colors. I also bring my trimmer, replacement blade, scissors, paper piecing stuff (cardboard or old mouse pad and a puch pin), my cropadile, and lots of adhesive.
