Kevin I wanted to thank you for the suggestion of The Devil In the White City. I just finished it recently and loved it, when I found out when I got it that I had read one of his first books Isaac's Storm, if you haven't read it, it was great, it's about the hurrincane that hit Galveston Texas at the turn of the century. I just started reading another if his books Thunderstruck about the Marconi "wireless" and a murder, somehow they intersect, not sure how yet. Just wanted to give a great big thank you for the suggestion again!!!

Ditto! After Kevin talked about it a couple of weeks ago, it sounded right up my alley. I've just started it and love it so far. Maybe we should start Kevin's Book Club!

I'm reading a new book called The List by J.A. Konrath.

So far it's only avialable for the Kindle and it's only $2.36.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through and so far it's really good.

It's about cloning....or copying human beings and the premise is quite clever.

Cant give away too much....but I'm fascinated so far.

This is the second cheap (and / or FREE) book that I have found for the Kindle.

The first was The Ark by Boyd Morrison.

That book has been removed from Amazon as Mr Morrison has secured a publishing contract.

I would imagine this author will as well.

Both books have been taut, well written thrillers that are keeping me up at night.

I think this a great outlet for new voices to be heard.

If you have a Kindle....check out The List.

Can I hijack this and ask how, when you have a kindle (DW's arrived yesterday) you actually buy the "books"? Do you have to have one-click ordering in Amazon, do you enter your cc info each time or what?

I found it easiest to just register my credit card info with Amazon and set up the "one click ordering".

This can also be dangerous, as it leads to easy "one clicking".

As you can shop directly from the Kindle, this is definitely the easiet way to do it.

She's going to LOVE her Kindle. Bet you end up wanting one.:thumbsup2
