considering a dinner for just me and DH, meaning DD6 would be going to "camp". Anyone have experience they would care to share? The good, the bad and the ugly?
Thx.

My DH and I wanted to take our his older son on coasters and thrill rides my DD's couldn't ride so we put them in Camp Lil Rock for a couple of hours. My DD's (ages 6 and 7 at the time) had a total blast at Camp Lil Rock. So much so they wanted to go the next day and skip the park. They did crafts and made new friends. It was a great experience for them.
I think you can leave your child there until midnight on the weekend and it was $15 per hour, per child plus $15 per meal or you can feed them before you go. I am trying to remember if the rate goes down if you have more than one child, I seem to remember it did, but it does not say so on the site.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Camp Lil Rock for my girls at that age again.

We walked by the RPR version of this a couple of weeks ago and noticed that they rotate between the three kids camps. Each one is open for one week at a time, then it rotates to the next. So unless you've checked that the HR version is open when you're going, you may need to take him to one of the other hotels.

Thx for that tip. I would never venture far...thinking dinner at whatever hotel DD is at????? I'm still not convinced I'm comfortable with the idea at all.
