I don't think they're as bad this year. I've hardly had any damage, though I have sprayed Sevin on my roses. Even new, untreated growth looks unravaged. Are they gone now or just ignoring my roses?
Them dreaded things are eating the leaves to my little trees up..

we put them up near our plants....one year we had eight climbing rose bushes...and those GUYS thought they were going to feast on them all...well out came the traps and they were in it...we did have to make a solution of bleach and water to dump them in after....it worked to kill them off....and remember if they live they lay more babies in the ground and next year we are infested more......

My parents did the traps, but warned me against them. They felt that the traps attracted more beetles than they would normally have to deal with. I can see their usefulness though........less eggs.

What do they look like? I wonder if I live in an area where they are not a problem.
