I posted this on the CB and someone suggested I post it here as well. It's not Disney related though.

We went to B. V. tonight and bought a 10 week rental card for $24.99. At the end of the 10 weeks, we get a free copy (DVD or VHS) of The Lord of the Rings.

Make sure you use your 10 weeks on NEW RELEASES to get the most for your money!!

I have a 15 year old who owns several video game systems. Blockbuster is also selling a game pass which is a great bargin if you rent video games. For $20 you get 30 days of video games (two at a time). They can keep the same two games for 30 days or replace them at any time. It's a great way to try out various games before buying any.

I purchased the $25 card last night for 10 rentals and a Lord of the Rings DVD. We are also Rewards members at Blockbuster(I think it is $10 or $15 per year), which entitles us to a free "favorites"(5-day rental) each time we rent a new release during the week(Mon-Wed, I think), and nets us a free rental after 5 new release rentals in 1 month(I think). Anyway, after talking to the sales clerk who explained how the $25 card worked, we decided that this card is best used on the weekends for new releases if you are also a Rewards member. Had we used this card last night, we would not have been entitled to our free 5-day rental, and I really did want to see "Switching Goals" again!

I purchased the 10-week rental card today. Because it functions as a paid rental, you should use it for new releases Monday-Wednesday, because you do get a free favorites rental. It also counts towards your 5 rentals/get 1 free rental. Five-day rentals are now good for one week...a GREAT deal all around!
