My dh and I are really bummed out by what I read recently about Disney taking away the day at sea on the Wonder 4 day in October (I'm sure other months as well). We have not heard from our TA yet, but plan on calling her to confirm this. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for us to get away for a "full" family vacation (1 week+) so we are kind of stuck with this. We were really looking forward to the day at sea--we're not really into the excursions, just R & R by the pool with the kids (or without, if they're in the clubs). Once they start taking ressies for a certain time, they shouldn't change it, unless they have to at the last second due to storms or other acts of God. Thanks for letting me vent!

You know, this could actually work out better for you. On days where the ship is in port, it's virtually deserted - so that R&R by the pool won't be nearly as crowded (if at all). After all, just because you are at a port doesn't mean you have to go ashore.

The Freeport stop happens every other week, with the day at sea on the alternating weeks. What date will you be sailing? It's possible your cruise will still be one with a day at sea.

Hi eskimo, and welcome to the Cruise Board!

If you end up with a Freeport stop it really WILL work out to your advantage if you want to stay on the ship and enjoy the pools. They are MUCH less crowded on port days. On sea days they fill up quickly.

Enjoy! :D

And the kids clubs will still be open if your children want to go there. If you want spa appointments you are more likely to be able to schedule what you want on a port day too, I think.

eskimo,
I also think this could be a good thing. We have been on 2 4-day cruises 1 with a day at sea and 1 with a stop in Freeport. I loved the day a Freeport as I had the Ship to myself ( well almost) It was really nice staying on board.
