Jan Marathon Park questions

I am just trying to do some budgeting and of course I have some questions

Dh and I will be doing the 1/2 while my father keeps our kids. They will only want to be at the ending as running around won't work for them. I assume this is inside Epcot correct and park tickets are needed?
As for DH and I - will we need park tickets on us to run the marathon? How quickly will they boot us out of the park after running?

If you are going to finish after the park opening time, then yes your family will need tickets to see you inside the park, or they can wait outside at the finish for free.

You will not need tickets as a runner as the race finishes outside in the car park.

It depends on how fast you run. If you are going to finish after the park opens they will need tickets. You run through Epcot and then finish in the parking lot so if you are going back into the park you will need tickets.

If you are going to the parks after the race anyway they can use the tickets to enter the park to watch you run by and then head out to the parking lot to meet you. I like finishing the run, going back to the room to shower, and then going to a nice character breakfast with the medal. It makes for some good pictures.
