Daniel decided to go to Largo- so I get to watch Duchess. She doesn't seem to be itching or anything- just being her normal self- although she is not turning over for belly rubbing as much as normal- I feel so bad about the welts though.

07-29-2009, 06:43 AM
Aw, poor Duchess. Rebecca, I hope the bites don't bother her too much.

Debbie, those lemon cookies look yummy.

My day:
Wait for exterminator to come do quarterly spray
Call new hairdresser for appointment. My hairdresser called me last night to say she's decided to move and gave me the name of someone else who could cut my hair for me. The bad part is that I had an appointment for Friday morning so that my hair looked decent for vacation next week.
Go to DH's office and pick him up and take him to lunch
Go shopping (Michaels, Best Buy, Walmart, JoAnn's, TJMaxx, Petsmart, Bealls)
Work on swaps

Have a fun day everyone!

rebecca- hope that Duchess is ok. poor belly!

well it's wednesday.....

ds is going on a field trip with camp
i'm going to work
i just have light switches left to change at mom's then done.
try to work on thank you cards. - i just can't face them.
i really want to crawl back in bed. i feel like i have a ton of bricks on my chest & i can't breath. i know that everyone grieves differently and at their own time and way. i just feel like i'm not going to make it. i'm dead inside. ds said last night when we were laying in bed that he feels like he has no more heart. i could not have said it any better. i hate that i have to go to work. i hate that he has to go to camp. i hate that i have to do laundry, clean the house, make supper, pay the bills........i just want to give up.

sorry guys. just needed to vent i guess. this was a little bit more than the *daily grind*

sorry guys. just needed to vent i guess. this was a little bit more than the *daily grind*

We all go off topic here- we use it to communicate throughout the day and we want it to be about what is really on our minds- I hope you do well today and I will continue praying for you and your family as you deal with it- the way you are feeling is perfectly normal.

thanks Stephanie! and thanks for the card. it was beautiful.:flower3: and a nice surprise.

07-29-2009, 07:55 AM
Holly, you are so right...everyone grieves differently. You've got to do what's best for you and Bubba! Hang in there, dear! I'll be praying for you, and know that we're all here for WHATEVER!! Don't hesitate to call on one of us to vent, laugh, cry, ANYTHING!!! You know we love you!!! :grouphug:

07-29-2009, 09:25 AM
There is no 12-step program for grieving. No right or really wrong way to grieve.

Feeling dead inside sounds completely normal. Not wanting to carry on with the "stuff", well, who doesn't feel that way sometimes?

Wanting to just cocoon with your Bubba is what I would want to do with my little guys. Losing their Mimi will be devastating for them too when the time comes. Having no more heart. That is exactly what it will feel like.

With thank you cards - do the folks who are least close to you first. The ones who are are closest to you, like us, know how hard it is and we can wait until the cows come home.

07-29-2009, 11:12 AM
Ah, Holl, we're here for you! There is no wrong or right way to grieve. You do whatever it takes to get you through the day!

I'm at work...Cranky and moody. I think I need to find a Trader Joe's today. I soooo don't want to be here.

Anyhow, I hope everyone has a good day!

07-29-2009, 01:48 PM
Oh Holly Hobby!!!

I still can't do my thank you cards for MIL, it's the last thing that needs to be done but I just can't go there.

To do today:
Give Holly Hobby big ol' bear hugs
finish flyer for parent packets for PTO
get copies of flyer at Staples
eat lunch
write letters to 8th grade parents
mail letters to parents
mail tags (still haven't done this yet, sorry guys!)
mail papers to Mini club member about site for Xmas party
take a nap (I think I'm getting sick)
clean kitchen
watch So You Think You Can Dance
go to bed early (have to go to school tomorrow)

07-29-2009, 03:17 PM
mail tags (still haven't done this yet, sorry guys!)

Feel free to just pack mine with your SDV stuff- I won't be using it beofre then anyway.

07-29-2009, 03:45 PM
Ok, I will pack it with the swap stuff so it doesn't get misplaced.

07-29-2009, 05:03 PM
Holly hugs sweetie. wish I was closer. It's been 5 years this oct since my MIL passed. I still haven't done cards. I never could face them. I chose to call the people instead and just explain it was to hard to sit and write my feelings of appreciation (sp? head is still cloudy). People will understand don't worry about it.
As for the crummy day I'm sorry hang in there those days will happen and everyone around you understands.

07-29-2009, 09:04 PM
Holls  take comfort with your honey and bubba, it's what you need the most right now, people will understand about the cards. Don't worry about them now, you have more than enough to cope with right now.
