I have looked at Dave's List of Noisy rooms but I was wondering if anyone knew how bad these 2 rooms really were, It's possible to get room 2079 and 2081, any opinons which would be better?? Let me know thanks.

I stayed in room 2086 on my first cruise and 2088 on my 2nd and I thought they were both fine. Not noisy at all. Very convenient to elevator. Will be in same area on 3rd cruise.

My Mom and I stayed in room 2083 on the Magic in May of 1999. It was VERY noisy. I don't know if it was because we had exceptionally rude/noisy people next to us or what. They were a family with small children who seemed to be crying most of the time. It is a connecting room and the door was paper thin. If you can get another room, I would. I didn't really notice how noisy it was until my FH and I sailed in May of 2001 and had a non-connecting room. It was like night and day. If you can't switch, I would rather be in a noisy room on the DCL then at home any day!

Have a great cruise!

Eeyore Freak, was it just noisy because of a family in the next cabin? Because that can happen on any deck. What about the noise of the boat or the noise from deck 3 above? Did that affect you at all?

No, the only noise we noticed was from next door. I mention this because unless you are planning on booking both cabins, you may be better off with a cabin that does not have a connecting door. When their alarm clock would go off in the morning, it would wake me up. The non-connecting cabins are much more quiet. We did not notice any noise from Lumieres above nor any loud corridor noise. The laundry room was a few doors down and even that wasn't noisy.
