I had a question about using a counter service credit for breakfast during free dining. I'm staying at POR so I'm guessing I can use it for pretty much anything in the food court. I was wondering where else I can use a counter service credit for Berakfast in the parks. And if anyone has any experience with this what did you get?

well, it could be you're not getting much response because many people use their counter service & table service credits for lunch or dinner - not breakfast. I personally don't know anyone who uses the counter service credits for breakfast...I'm sure some people do, but don't know any myself. I would guess most people would probably do breakfast at their resort food courts - I know POP Century & POFQ had breakfast platters available. Have never actually seen a breakfast menu at any counter place in the parks...there's bakery places in all the parks...I believe Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom has breakfast sandwiches (like an egg/cheese croissant?) I think Sunshine Seasons in The Land/Epcot also serves breakfast. Starring Rolls in DHS is a bakery, so of course has pastries, juice, coffee available. Don't know what you get for breakfast for a counter service credit...don't know if they have any breakfast sandwiches.

We're not big on going out to breakfast, especially since you're not getting to a park counter service restaurant until after the park has opened (you can't get into the counter service places in the parks until after official park-opening time)...no way do we want to spend "prime" early morning park time standing in line for breakfast, lol. So we typically either have cereal bars or poptarts in the room.

Wendy,

This link will take you to the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan. It lists all the places you can get each meal on the plan including the parks. Your choice for breakfast at the parks looks slim. The second page states that for breakfast you get 1 juice, 1 entree or combo and 1 non-alcoholic drink.

Hope this helps. :)

Pizzafari in the AK has CS breakfast - similar offerings to a resort's CS breakfast.

I often do CS credit breakfasts. It may not be as good a value, but sometimes a big, hearty breakfast platter (w/ 2 drinks, you can always get one to go) is a nice way to start the day. I've used a snack credit for lunch then before a TS dinner. I see nothing wrong with a huge ice cream cookie sandwich for lunch :rotfl:

Another option is to share a CS breakfast with a member of your party and then share a CS lunch too.

Thanks for the responses. I think we may have an extra counter service because we won't get in Until late Sunday evening and aren't planning on using any credits that day. I was just thinking I could use the extra CS fior breakfast one of the mornings when we have a late ADR for lunch.

Hi wendy1974,

We had breakfast every day with QSDP and found that worked best for us. Good fuel for the a.m. helped us get a lot done each morning!! Then we had a late lunch or early dinner. We were never hungry, and had only one OOP reservation all week. Stopped for snacks and drinks whenever we wanted, and still had a dozen Snack Credits to spend on goodies to bring home!

Anyway, to answer your question... According to the menus on this site, just about all the resort food courts have the same basic bfast platters or pastry/ fruit options, plus their own specialties (POP waffles and bfast pizzas at Pop, and we visited Capt Cooks in Poly for Tonga Toast!!).

In the parks, we have had bfast at Main Street Bakery (Apple Charlotte was really good (SC), but we miss the French Toast Loaf!), and Sunshine Seasons (same platters and croissant sandwiches as resorts, but much better pastry selections).

At Pop on the plan we could get any platter, plus juice, and they allowed everyone to sub a large cup of fruit (cantelope/ honeydew/ grapes) in place of the second beverage the plan stipulates. I can see this, since you have the mug for the beverage station (I mix coffee and cocoa, with a squirt of creamer!). Also, on our last morning we used a SC for a bowl of oatmeal.

At Capt Cooks we also were allowed to sub the fruit, but Sunshine Seasons did not allow it, so we got a bottle of water to save for the park. So just ask a CM, they'll let you know if they do any switches.

Happy planning! :flower3:

I have heard you can get 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 drinks at Main Street Bakery for 1 CS. Is this true? Has anyone done this?
