Hi! We are leaving for Disney in 3 weeks. All along I had planned on getting the 5 day hopper tickets (3 adults, 1 child). We are going to 3 of the parks and were going to save 2 days for another time. As time is getting closer, I am finding i need to lower my budget a bit. My question relates to the 1 day/1park tickets. If we go to a park and at the end of the day buy another ticket I think there is a discount? How much is the discount and can it be used for a different park and..does it have to be for th next day? Can I go to Epcot on Mon, buy another ticket at the end of the day and use it for MK on wed? I would think so but......Also, i am a DC member, and am I correct in thinking there is no DC discount on one day tickets? I mainly joined for the savings on the tickets. Honestly, the hopper passes would be nice, but don't really know if we would do much hopping as we will be with other family that does not have the hopper passes. The 3 parks we are planning on going to are Epcot,Mk, and MGM. Any suggestions? Julie

No, there is no DC discount on 1-day tickets.
Can you buy 4-day hoppers? And, just save the extra day for the next trip!

You are thinking of the tickets that used to be called "Bounce Back" tickets. Now they are referred to as 1 Day/1 Park, 2 Day/2Park and/or 3 day/3 Park tickets. There is no DC discount for these tickets and you cannot hop between parks with them. WDWIG has a good explanation of ticket options and prices, including these. Here is a link to get you there:

It does sound as thought the 3 Day/3 Park tickets will be best for your family. Enjoy your trip!

I would suggest that if you think the 3-day tickets will be best (which will total a $15 discount if you do it as described), you go for it. I was going to do this and then decided to buy 4-day park hoppers instead. We ended up never going to more than 1 park in a day (the rain slowed us down a bit) and we didn't use the Disney transportation system because we had a rental car which just seemed much quicker & easier (again because of the rain).

with the reduced hours, it is difficult to park hop unless you get to the parks when they open and stay til 10 p.m. when MK closes. Not sure when you are going, but the hours were reduced while we were there. we had 1 day hopper and only did Mk that day. No way we could have hopped anywhere except to hop in the bed!! Small children and hopping? FUHGADABOUTIT!!!!
