Okay, I think I'm convinced that the cabins will be the best choice for my group, but now we don't know where is the best loop to stay in? There will be 3 adults, 3 kids, ages 6, 4, and 2. We'll have 2 strollers, and want easiest access so we can come back from the parks for nap time each afternoon. I've tried looking at the maps, and I'm thinking Loop 2100 would be best for us. We just don't want to be super far away from a bus stop. I'm guessing it will be a trade off, ie. close to bus stop, far away from everything else...What's the most kid-friendly, least walking loop to stay in if we want easy access to parks, and maybe not a mile long trek to the campfire or beach for the fireworks at night? I know there is probably a trade-off here, we can't be close to everything, but any advice would be appreciatedprincess:

We were in the 2600 loop and it was a hike to the buses, and a very long walk to the other end of the campground where all the "action" is. Personally, we loved the walk from the buses, even at night when we were tired, it was a great way to unwind. But we're probably weird. There are internal buses to take you from the park buses to your cabin loop, and to other places in the campground as well. You will find conflicting comments about this internal bus system...we didn't use it much because we do enjoy walking but found it dependable when we did. The bottom line is that the place is HUGE and it's impossible to be close to everything. If I were to stay in the cabins again (and hopefully I will--absolutely loved it!) I would choose the same loop or one even closer to the bus stop. You can rent a golf cart to get to the other end or depend on the internal bus system.

Have fun! No matter which loop you're in, you'll be able to get to where you need to go with little fuss--at least in our experience!!!!
