We currently have lagoon view reservations for the GF in September. However, we are considering switching to Poly Concierge which will be only $100.00 more than we are paying for GF accoring to CRO. If anyone has stayed at GF lagoon view and Poly Concierge, can you please tell me what you would suggest? Also, how are the rooms at Poly? I have heard that they are undergoing renovation or that rooms not renovated are old and dated.
Thank you:confused:

We were at the Poly Concierge in May and loved the rooms. True they are not brand new, but they are still beautiful. I hope when the renovate next year they don't change it too much. I hate going into some of these newer hotels with their stark white walls and uninteresting decor. The Poly rooms are very nice with southseas style furniture and wall treatments with warm colors. The Poly bathrooms have beautiful green marble.
The GF is too formal for our tastes. Very elegant with fancy furniture. I can't picture our kids running around there. We would be a wreck worrying. The Poly is so relaxing and fun. You'll love it.

Are you talking about the concierge garden view or concierge lagoon view at the Polynesian, because the price difference between those two is around $70.
Anyway, have you been to or seen pictures of the two resorts? If not, you may want to look at some pictures so that you can decide which you would prefer, because some people love the theming and atmosphere of the Polynesian, while others prefer the elegance and new-ness of the GF. The two resorts are close to each other and you can see one from the other. So, if you make the "wrong" choice (for you), then you will see what you're missing and may be dissapointed. Personally, I love them both for different reasons.
I have only stayed garden view at the Polynesian up to this point, from what I hear the concierge food offerings at the Polynesian are some of the best on WDW property.
