Did everybody get their resort of choice for FD? [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

Just wondering if people have been able to get their first choice of a resort during these recent discounts/pins, etc. I called first thing yesterday a.m. and was able to snag my first choice. Well actually my first choice would have been a deluxe :lmao:, but instead I am at POFQ, which was my first choice for a moderate. :goodvibes It was cheaper for us to stay at a moderate than to upgrade the dining plan at Pop. I am excited to try POFQ! Me, DH and DS5 and DS8 will be going Nov. 29-Dec. 4.

Yep, got my first choice, POFQ Nov. 6-10. Yippeeee! :)

Yep :) I called at 9:30 am Friday and was able to book contemporary for 11/29-12/6 for our honeymoon :love:

Yes, I got WL for Dec 17-25. I was so happy to get a code otherwise we would be sweating it out in Oct..

Yes we got the resort we wanted for 3 rooms for free dinning.We're booked at POFQ for Oct 1st-8th for all 3 rooms.This is the moderate we wanted because we have stayed there before and love it.As a matter of fact,we had only stayed on the monorail for years (always some kind of code,AP,etc) and then we tried a split stay at with Contemporary and AKL and loved it,but missed the monorail.Still we stayed at AKL one other time.Then we tried POFQ and loved it so much that we keep going back there every year.Would I stay on the monorail again?In a heart beat,if the price wasn't so high.Love POFQ for the price it can not be beat.That's why we have 3 rooms booked.

Did 14 days at my resort of choice.

I asked two CMs about how the new promo is going and it's dismall. Most people calling are not making new reservations. They are just having their current reservation updated for the discount.

We got our first choice at CBR - preferred room.

We are part of the group that are just adding this discount to their current ressie's instead of making new ones.

uh oh...worried about mine! when we went last time, we couldn't get our resort, POFQ so we switched to use the code, and stayed at CSR. mind you we loved it. So much so that I am still going back and forth on which of the two to stay at. LOL I figure we will be happy at either with the discount

We had to switch from BLT to WLV but I was just delighted to get a discount on a 2BR villa at all so I snapped it up. We don't usually do villas and when we do we rent DVC points but for various reasons we booked direct with Disney this time and paying such a premium -- even between the 2 families -- was really chapping my tush so I'm a happy camper now.

I upgraded an exsisting reservation for Nov 28-Dec 2 at the Contemp. I got a great del but I lost my MK view...Oh well. Bay Lake View for me. :thumbsup2

We were staying 6 nights at CR, but changed to 8 nights POFQ(the mod I wanted) and 2 nights CR MK view room and saved about $700. :cool1:

Hey, we'll see ya there! I got my first choice - POFQ - with the GP free dining that was released today. We'll be there from 11/15 - 11/23. We originally had a ressie at Pop with the QS plan, but this works better for us. We had a few TS meals we wanted to do, and would have paid for OOP. This actually saves us a couple hundred dollars, even upgrading to a moderate! :cool1:

We got the resort we wanted...CSR. I orginally had the Poly booked through Magical Vacations Travel but a mod with free dining was a better deal than $200/night total for the Poly. Less $$ to bring for meals and such. This will be our first stay at CSR and I'm VERY excited since they've done so many upgrades.:thumbsup2

Got my first choice. Staying at the Beach Club from 10/31-11/4. Myself, DH, DS16, DD12 and DD9. This is our first time staying at the Beach Club usually stay at the Poly. I figured with the Food and WIne Festival it would be nice to be at an Epcot Resort. Hope I made a good choice.

Yep! We upgraded from Pop to Port Orleans Riverside with free regular dining! So EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went from 2 room only ressies at Pop to packages with free quick service upgraded to regular dining. We had a pin code on the room only so we didn't save huge but it was still a savings based on what the 7 of us would have ate.

I had a room only booked with an AP discount. But we had to book a waterview, I really wanted just a standard view. Today I was able to change to FD with a standard view at CSR 11/5-11/9 and only increased my price by $369. (we will save the 1 day tickets to upgrade to a pass at a later date) If we kept the room and added dining out of pocket it would have cost $320.

Basically we got 2 one day tickets for $49.
