They are 10.99 plus tax, and you get a Meal of your choice, and drink PLUS you get a bottled water or soda AND OR Pop-corn or Ice cream!:D It more than payed for itself, and my meal came to 9.50 and you can use it at Tusker House or the Barb-A-Que place by Dino-land!:p

I'm confused - $9.50 w/o the side items? If so, that's a great deal. I wish the other parks would do this as I hate Animal Kingdom. Seems like it is 20 degrees hotter than every other park.

How/ Where do you get this voucher?

I believe, but am not positive that you buy them right at the counter. I don't think you have to use it right away thou - could save for later in day? I know Mal or someone had a post on these a few weeks ago-if you search you can probably find the info.

We did this last week at AK, it was a great deal. We purchased ours right at the counter at Tusker House. You get 3 coupon/vouchers, 1 for the entree & drink, 1 for the popcorn or icecream, and 1 for the bottled water or soda. You don't have to use them all right on the spot. We ordered our lunch at the Tusker House, got a bottle of water from a cart while waiting for the Lion King show, and finished our day a 3rd place with a Mickey ice cream bar.

You can also get one for children, I think we paid $5.99. An even better deal! They had to order mac & cheese for lunch (which they would have anyway) and still got the ice cream and bottled water.

There is information on www.mousesavers.com about this. Look under Meals.

Granted, I am NOT too fond of AK either, but, with the rain, it made it quite bare-able!;) The Vouchers are the best, and YES it comes with 2 sides AND a Drink!;) Like toystorymon said: You can use the other 2 for later!;)

We did those vouchers when we were there in April and thought they were a great deal! We enjoyed our ice cream sandwiches before we left the park and took our bottled sodas back to our hotel room to enjoy later.

They even offer the same deal for kids! I think the price was $5.99 or $6.99.

We were at AK about a week ago and bought the meal vouchers at Tusker House. We had a great meal with a large beverage and then got ice cream and a bottled water later. We figure we saved about $5 each. Not bad for Disney!

We also used them last week at Flame Tree BBQ. We used the vouchers for drinks and ice-cream while waiting for the parade. It was a good deal. We figured out the prices and I forget the exact amounts, but basically the $10.99 covered the meal and either the bottled drink or the ice-cream and the other was free. We got 3 adult sandwich meals for lunch. It would have been an even better deal if we had gotten more expensive meals for lunch.

Does the meal include a drink? This sounds like a great deal!

Do all the components have to be used on the same day? For example, could you use the meal one day and the drink and ice cream another? We usually don't stay at AK more than three hours because the one time we did everyone was in a bad mood when we left b/c of the heat!

You have to use the voucher the day you buy it. We used it for our kids and it was a great value. $5.99 plus tax. $6.35 each, $12.70 for 2. So for our two kids, we got two kids meals with drinks ($12.40 rigt there), two botlles of water ($5), and two ice cream bars ($5) - a savings of $9.70.

If you are not a big eater could you buy a child's voucher to eat for yourself?

Well, if you don't mind eating off the kid's menu, I don't suppose anyone would mind. Actually I've seen people order off the kid's menu at restaurants at WDW and they seem completely prepared for it. After all, everyone's a kid at Disney! In my case, my kids were way back at a table by the river while I got the food, so there was no way of knowing if I was really getting those bowls of franks and beans for myself!

We are a family of 5 and the AK meal vouchers were great for us. We really saved quite a bit by using them. They were easy to use and I was surprised that when I was getting lunch I really figured that on the adult coupons we'd be given the smallest soda they had since the coupons didn't specify, but I was actually given the largest size. The kids meal selection isn't so good if you have a picky eater. They only offer 1 thing at each restaurant. We just waited until the kiddies found a menu theyapproved of and that's where we ate.:D

How long this will go on or has it already ended?

I read on Deb Wills' site (wdwig.com) that this program has been extended (not sure of the date). I too think this is a wonderful idea. This was a great idea to get people to eat at AK. In the past we always zipped back to our resort and ate. Please note that there is no AP or CM discount on this package (yes I asked during my last trip), especially since there already is a 20% CM discount on most/all food places at the AK. Since we are not big eaters I would have no problem getting the adult and child's vouchers. A lot of times we just split a wrap sandwich during lunch.

Used these over the fourth of July holiday and they were great. Even better value tha the Q and C since you got the extra drink. I bought two for the kids and one for DH and I to share. We used them at Tusker House. The kids had the mac-n-cheese with the drink and cookie, DH and I shared the peanut chicken and a drink. We used the other drink vouchers for a bottle of water and two botles of soda. We used coupons for two popcorn, and one oce cream. The kids were in a sharing mood so I sprang for an extra ice cream which they shared!LOL I hope they consider keeping them, since without them we would have gone back to the villas since I can't take the heat at AK for a whole day anyway.

Are there signs advertising the vouchers, or is this something you need to make not of to remember?

In May there were signs as you passed the ticket window & at most of the restaurants advertising it.

We are still here! And yes there are signs EVERYwhere! It looks to me that they are testing this at AK to see how it does. It IS a great deal. We used it on the 14th.

I read somewhere if it is successful at the AK they are considering having this option at other parks!

Oh boy Snowwitch, I hope you're right, this would be just great if they kept this in all the parks... I doubt they would though, it cuts into the profits :(

So do the connection vouchers, just look at Beaches and Cream. The deal you can get there is unreal. I think this is much more cost effective for Disney. Just a thought.;)

The connections vouchers work at all the fast food places & food courts, but the value isn't always there, you don't get the extra drink or ice cream.... you're right about the Beaches & Cream value, it's unreal....

I don't know which way is more profitable, but personally I hope they keep offering these AKL meal deals & extend them to all the other parks!!!

Is there anyplace where you can get fried chicken tenders at any place where they honor these? I assume that the kids can only order a specific entry from the kids menu or can they order anything from the kids menu? I am confused on this part.

The only thing on the kids menu at the Tusker House is a smallish bowl of mac and cheese, seems like it came with a cookie and drink. I'm not familiar with the barbque place so I can't answer that. SOrry

Flame Tree has PB&J, Tusker House had Mac & Ch,
Pizzafari had pizza, and Restaurantosarus had McDonalds
Happy Meals (Nuggets). I think there was a couple other choices that I do not remember. The kids meal choices are very limited though. I had the ribs at Flame Tree and they were very good!!!
