On June 4th my father suffered a minor heart attack, and had a stint placed in his heart. The following saturday he woke up urinating blood. After seeing a uroligist and had a cytoscopy, blood test, and urine test they said they believed the blood was from his high dose of asprin he was prescribed for his stints. Last wednesday his urine came back with abnormal cells in it. Today they did a second cytoscopy, and found a tumor on his bladder. The dr believes it's malignant, but nothing is sure until Monday when the test results are returned. My dad is extremely scared, and were all trying to be strong for him, but it is the most stressful thing we have ever experienced. Were just praying for a miracle that it is non cancerous, but are also realistic. We have been researching like crazy today, and I know I am rambling but i needed to vent a little. If you could please include my father in your prayers. Also if anyone has any experience or knowledge of this please any info is greatly appreciated.
Thankyou, Joe "firemanx"

Your dad & your family are in my prayers :grouphug:
I hope that all goes well for your Dad! My Dad (at 88) recently had this scare. He has various heart issues so he is on coumudin (sp?) so when he bleeds he bleeds a lot! He also had blood in the urine and went in for a scope where they found "something" on his bladder. It did end up being cancerous and they went in and scraped it out and that was that. Since it was just on the surface there was no need for chemo or any other treatment. I hope that your Dads' news will be just as good!
