If you're planning to nicely frame a photo, where do you send it for printing?

I don't really have a preference; I don't think I've had prints done anywhere other than a pharmacy or Wal-Mart/Target.

I've used mpix, wal-greens, CVS, Ritz and which ever photo lab that smugmug uses. Wal-Greens' gave me the worst picture, though it was free, so I can't complain to much. I've had great luck with Ritz as well as with mpix and also ordering directly from my smugmug account.

Mpix. Like their paper choices, and they do a great job.

I've had the best luck with Costco if you are a member. I mostly do 4x6 prints for my scrapbooks, but occassionally do larger prints for gifts for my mother-in-law. They use Fuji paper. The image quality is great.

Noticed you are from the Houston area. Have you tried Houston Camera Exchange or Custom Photo Lab. I have a few friends down there use HCE.

I only use Mpix now unless I need it quick, then I use CVS.

i've use mpix and adorama mostly, been happy with both but adorama has more paper choices. got a real dog from walgreens the one time i used them. i had used snapfish for yrs and never had a problem but most of them were 5x7. used shutterfly twice, the book was nice but one photo was ok one not so good . could have been the size as it was 16 x20 but they said it would print ok that big and it didn't.

Costco is great for getting prints done. For the last portfolio in my photography class in the spring, even my teacher commented on how nice my prints were and asked where they had been printed. Also at the downtown market in Charleston I struck up a conversation with a photographer that had a booth there- I asked where he got his prints done since they were so nice- he said Costco for everything but really huge prints- for really huge prints he went with Mpix.

I've used Mpix once and was happy with their service and quality. I'm thinking about trying smugmug soon because I have to get a bunch printed that are already uploaded on my account and it'd just be easier.

I've been the least happy with Walgreens.
