My husband and I are very excited about our reservation at the CBR. We have a King Room/Water view. But were confused on which villa to choose. We want: 1.) to be close to the bus stop- for our main concern is getting to the theme parks early and quickly, 2.) a peaceful, quiet, non-smoking room - I'm assuming we would want a 2nd floor room, away from the playgrounds, but I'm not sure? and finally 3.) I like a certain decor, I've posted a room that I think is beautiful; but I don't know what villa it is; maybe someone knows?

Thank You, akadance

Welcome to the DIS! You wilL LOVE CBR.

We thought we wanted "quiet and romantic" our first stay at CBR and Quiet it was in Trinidad South. Too far from anything, and the busses from there are difficult because they are often full before and skip TS altogether.

Trinidad North is lovely. Building #31 is SMOKING if that doesn't bother you. If it does, try building #32. We stayed there last April and it was quiet, romantic, RIGHT behind the bus stop. It was perfect.

As for the decor, all the rooms look the same now. That picture you linked to is an older pcture. We posted pics of the CBR rooms recemtly if you want to search.... I believe we called it CBR Picture Post.

YOu may not always get the area you want at CBR but it's certainly worth trying for!

Have a wonderful trip!

There are 7 bus stops throughout the resort, so you're never too far away from a bus stop. There may be additional stops, depending on your building, but they don't consistantly do the stops in the same order, so you can't count on always being the first or last stop or anything.

We stayed in Jamaica last year and loved it! I think it was building 44 - we had a corner room that faced the quiet pool and we were just across the parking lot from the bus stop. It was probably the closest building in Jamaica to the bus stop. We loved the 5 miinute walk across the bridge to get coffee in the morning. It was a very quiet section (although several buildings in Jaimaica were being refurbished at the time which could have accounted for some fewer people). We went to the quiet pool on 3 different days and there was almost no one there each time.(Maybe 5 or 6 at the most).

I would definitely recommend Jamaica--especially since most peolple say Trinidad North and Martinique and these seem hard to get!

My vote is also for Jamaica, I love the decor of the buildings. The yellow and blue, the gingerbread design. The interior of all rooms is the same I think. I have also stayed in TN, more traffic on walkways, but closer to OPR. Pay the extra for a king, if you're looking for romance.

We stayed in Jamaica also. I was afraid it would be to far from the main building at first, but enjoyed the walk very much.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I really appreciate the feed-back. From reading your reponses it seems that I should consider Jamaica also. I still have 3 days to decide; but the assistance is making my job easier.

We stayed in Aruba in March, but we thought Jamaica was the prettiest. That's where I would request is we stayed again.

Villas?

I hope you aren't expecting a villa. You're getting a hotel room, which although the resort is nicely themed, furnishings and size wise you're getting a room in a Holiday Inn type place.

I just don't want you to have the expectation that this is a villa, because it's not.
