I ordered a dress I really liked, and I should be getting it tomorrow. I'm looking for something very simple (my DF wants to wear a Hawaiian shirt so I need to match his casual look). I'm hoping this one works, but if it doesn't, then I get to go dress shopping again!

When is your wedding?

January 3rd seems like it's going to be a great day! Maybe we will see you in the parks afterwards!

If you love the dress, then consider going to a seamstress and having them alter it to fit you. My mom took in my sister in law's dress by about 5 sizes... it can be done. :)

Sorry to hear that you are changing your venue... we are having our VR at SP and have only told two sets of friends. No one else knows because we don't want the stress of telling people no, or the typical comments of 'why are you doing that'.

I've been married for just over 10 years now and the entire reason we are doing the VR is because neither of us liked our original wedding. There was a lot of fighting and nothing happened the way we wanted it to... other than we got married. :lovestruc

Sit down with your DFi and really decide what it is the two of you want. Is it most important to have the extra family there or is it most important that parents be there and you keep it incredibly intimate? You can always have a small party when you get home for extended family and it's never too late to go back to your original plans. Don't feel pressured into something else if it's not what you want... or you may end up with a VR of what you really wanted 10 years down the road. ;)

I'm getting married at Disney on 1/17 and am just now narrowing down my dress. So you still have some time to find something else if you decide to go that way. Don't let them ( the sales people) rush you into getting something you don't love not matter what they tell you about how long it takes to order the dress etc.! Also Alfred Angelo has some very nice dresses that can be done in a short amount of time, as does Watters. Good luck!

We got our Letter of Agreement yesterday, and we should have it in the mail by tonight. We had some printer issues or I would have had it in the mail last night.

We are getting married at the WG at the Yacht Club at 10am on January 3, 2010! My family members are booking flights now. It's very exciting!

We also got a sampling of ceremonies from our officiant, so we need to go through and start choosing what we like and don't like.

Here's my list of things that need to get done within the next month or so:

-book flights
-work on room block
-buy dress
-buy DF's outfit
-try on rings
-buy garters
-put together ceremony

I'm still not quite sure I've realized that this is all happening, but I might feel better when my sister comes to town in a week to go dress shopping with me.
Yah! how exciting that you got your letter of agreement!

How do I post pictures from my computer files? Any ideas?!

They were all taken with my cell phone. My FMIL hasn't sent me the digital pictures she took when I was trying on the dress. It has a lacy overlay on it though.

I just heard from my WC yesterday about our room block. I am sending it in the mail today, and my DF already faxed it over. All I am waiting for now is a call from the planner to get everything else sorted out!
you can post it through photobucket dot com. you sign up and then DL the pictures from your computer onto photobucket. you then copy the IMG code and paste it to a post on here. it is really easy! hope this helps. have you decided wher to have your reception/meal after the ceremony?

I am faxing the planning pages over to our WP this morning. We booked our flight home last night. We decided to have our lunch afterwards at Big River Grille because our guests would probably not care for a catered lunch in the Cape Cod Rooms. Why pay for something when we could do just as well in a restaurant? It's not important to us either.

I love Big River Grille! How is this working? Do you have to pay a minimum? I know they don't take reservations (or so they told us last time we were there...) so are you just going to hope they have room for your party?

BTW your plans sound lovely, can't wait to see pictures!! I will actually be in WDW a few days after your wedding! The weather can be so gorgeous that time of year, fingers crossed!!

Our planner told us she could call them and let them know that we had that many people coming, so hopefully they will be prepared. I have never been there, but I doubt you can go wrong with a brewery, right?!

From what I understand, you don't pay a minimum, you just pay for the meals of everyone. That works out really well for us, so we'll take it!

That's awesome that you will be there! Maybe we will run into each other that week! We leave on the 9th. Are you going for your planning session?

I wish I was going to be there for a planning session! I guess it's my own informal one. We had a family trip planned but I'm going to scope everything out while I'm there! I'm even thinking about ordering a small cake from the Boardwalk bakery for my mom's birthday while we're there. That way I can taste a cake flavor and filling flavor! :cool1:

isnt it great that we are only 90 days out!!! glad you were able to get almost all the ressies you wanted. we also made our ressies over the weekend. since we are there from 12/30 on and we have guests coming in starting 12/30, we wanted to do this asap. luckily we were able to get what we wanted especially on NYE. ohana's and 50's primetime cafe are great. we are doing 50's primetime cafe on NYE since we love NYE at Hollywood Studios. it is such a fun automosphere! o'hana's has in my opinion the best breakfast food. you will so enjoy it if you have never been there before. if you have, then you know the orango mango juice is to die for! how romantic that you will be at cinderella's royal table on your wedding night! so glad that everything worked out! :goodvibes:

i am so sorry he saw your dress. try not to let it bother you (i know easier said then done) and of course you should not feel like less of a bride! think of it this way, he is a man-they don't remember detail or anything like that. he has not seen the whole package, hair, hair piece, jewelery, shoes, etc...you will look beautiful and he will be blown away no matter what. sending some pixie dust your way! pixiedust:

Those screens on cameras... they are so tiny anyway! All he probably had time to see was the basic silhouette of your dress, no details, etc. Just checked back at your dress photos, he is probably just really excited you will be showing some leg on your wedding day! :rotfl: So think of it that way! The anticipation is killing him! ;)

You won't be less of a bride on your wedding day, don't worry! In fact, you will be the most glam you will probably ever be! :goodvibes

I agree with everyone else. On your wedding day everything will look much different with your hair done and all the accessories. I would not worry at all.

I love Tanis. What an incredible help, and she's absolutely wonderful.

We had our planning call last Friday, and she put me at ease with everything. We came up with a limo schedule, which is what I was most worried about since I wasn't sure how the timing would go. We're having everyone picked up from Pop and taken to the Yacht Club in the limo, but we are staying at POFQ and are having our MK/DHS photo shoot that morning at 5am as well. We decided that it would be best if Alex and I were picked up last so we could have time to eat breakfast for the wedding (I'm gonna need it after being up since 3am! :rotfl2:)

So I feel A LOT better.

The only other thing I have to report is that I faxed in the pre-app for the marriage license through Brevard, and we got it back within 4 days. We had to send it back to them without the notarized signatures though because they spelled DF's last name wrong! I was upset until I looked at the initial fax, and it was definitely my handwriting! :rolleyes:

Still, we have plenty of time and everyone keeps saying we'll get it back really quickly.

Only 54 days away! Wow! :eek:
53 days!!!! I just got my license notarized and sent it in fed ex. glad that you spoke to your planner and have everything figured out for your wedding. so you are doing the MK/DHS shoot on the morning of the wedding? i wanted to do it but thought the morning of is too much and the next day is my farewell breakfast. oh well. excited to see yours though!!!

One thing to look forward to... once you're off the steroids you should lose the swelling and be back to what you weighed before, or at least close to it. It takes maybe 3-4 months for the steroids swell to go away.

I'm still on, I'm just not updating. I had to try not to obsess about the wedding for a while because I was getting too stressed with school, work, and the wedding. I broke out in a rash and I've been on Prednisone for weeks to cure it. I even ended up having to buy a new wedding dress because the Prednisone made me gain weight! :eek:

The good news is that I love my new dress way more than the first one. It's beautiful, and I feel so much more like a bride. 18 days to go! :banana:

I have a 6-10 page paper to write today and I'm done for the semester. It couldn't come quickly enough; it's been really rough for everyone at my school this Fall!

Congratulations on your wedding! You looked beautiful. I loved the dress. I will definitely stay on to see how things are going with the Disney wedding!

Sorry you ended up so sick! That sucks! I hope you feel better!

I hear ya on the paper...Go write...Someone once told me that if you just sit and write it eventually all comes to you...It works. It must be in the air this semester. I have friends that are going nuts with papers, assignments etc...
