I am using dark transfers and they are pretty thick.

I am putting them in my printer (Epson Ink Jet) and they keep getting stuck.

Regular paper will go through fine, but I keep messing up the transfers...

Anyone have any hints for this?

I think there are a couple Epson printers that a couple brands of transfers specifically say will not work....hope you don't have one of them!

did you try just putting in one piece of transfer paper at a time with no other paper of any sort in the feeder tray? If so, what happened?

Is it grabbing both sides of the paper at the same time or unevenly grabbing one side more than the other?

and, my # 1 idea - Why not call Epson technical support and ask them???

honestly...because I don't know what kind of transfers these are.

No, I am only using one sheet at a time and it seems to be pulling it straight in, but then gets jerked to one side.

I was hoping someone on the DIS had already had this problem and would want to share any hints they have for making it work a little better.

I vaguely remember years ago, either when I was making cake decals or printing t-shirt transfers (on separate printers of course!! :lmao:), that I had to go into my settings for the printer and set it for thicker paper.

Once I did that, I had no problems.

Hope this helps! :)

I was going to suggest the thicker paper as well. On my Epson I have to use the enhanced matte paper option. I also uncheck high speed, uncheck gloss (should be if you do the matte thing), and use the best photo setting.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed to do and it worked beautifully!!

It has been such a frustrating evening and this worked wonders!! :) Thank you so much for all of your help!!!!!

I never had an option for trasnfer paper so I put it through as photo paper, it always got stuck so when I put it through as just normal paper on best it worked fine :goodvibes
