My husband received a pin that is free dining that ends Dec. 17th. We are not going till Dec. 21st. I called and asked if I could book dec. 17 on til Dec. 31st but not actually sleep in the room til the 21st as it is 800 dollars cheaper. They said I had to be there on the 17th or they would cancel the whole reservation. Anyone tried this before??. Any help or input would be welcome.

Um, you can't book a room starting on a certain date and then not check in until 4 days later!

I think that might be one of the wackiest things I have ever heard, lol.

I know you asked for help, but unless you can physically check in at the resort on the 17th, you are out of luck. Sorry.

No, you must check in on the 17th or Disney will consider you a "no show" and your reservation will be cancelled.

I know all this but. Lets say you are stuck in a snow storm and you call the hotel personally. I am sure they do not cancel your room. Right. I know it is extreme but I was just curious if anyone had tried it. I have a ressie at the swan and probably will keep it anyways as it is so close to fireworks for new years but just checking my options

I can't say what they would do, but I do know that calling the hotel number direct will not get you the front desk as you will be routed to a call center. The CM will talk as if they are there at the actual hotel, but you are not talking to someone at the resort. I think your only options are to either change your dates and check in on the 17th instead of the 21st......or hope for a deal to come out for your current dates.
