Hi all. DD is turning 11 at WDW in August & all she has been asking for is a camera. I am SO not a good person with this type of stuff, so I don't know where to start. All I do know is I do not want it to cost more then $150. Please HELP!:scared1:

Thanks.

From a Canon perspective:

Powershot A480, A590, or A1000 (all meet your price guidelines)

Nikon Coolpix L20, S220

Samsung SL30 and SL102

Sony DSC S980

Probably as many Panasonics, Casios, Kodak

They will all be good first digital cameras for a young lady

We got my dd a Kodak C913 in May for her 8th birthday.

It is a good enough camera for her & what she wanted it for. It takes pretty good pictures. The zoom isn't the best nor is my hand when I was trying to take some pictures of a birds nest (my camera was too big to do that).

It takes video too although when you play it back on the camera you can't hear the sound.

And it was only about $80 or $90 from Target & pink.

Thanks so much for your help. Since you both like the Nikon Cool Pix & I have heard of it ;) should we go with the L20 or the S220?:confused3

So I see the Cool Pix S220 in the Best buy circular & right next to it is the Fuji FinePix Z33 Wp ~ & it is waterproof! Any thoughts? popcorn::
