Can You Help With Dollar Rental Code?

In a past post I read that when requesting a rate on line with Dollar Rental if you put in the code FVG it will be a cheaper rate. I tested it and see that indeed is true. My question is this: when checking in at the counter with this rate, will you be asked to show a coupon of some sort with this code? Thanks.

Code FVG is from the Florida Vacation Guide and can be used by anyone.....no coupon required!

Depending on what and when you rent they may be cheaper - I have seen them on these boards and they all got thumbs ups! I got the best rate with mcc.

Be sure to try the FISH code as well. There was a new code just listed via an Email I got today from Dollar for a minivan for 205 per week. The code is FLNEW. This one has to be used between 7/6 and 8/28, so I don't know if that works with your dates... I do know FISH will get you a minivan for 209 per week plus taxes. No coupld is required for either of these.

Wow! What a difference. I tried all 3 of these codes and I actually found ENTERTAIN to offer me the best price. It was almost $150 less than the price I was quoted without the code(for a full size car). I only have one question....Am I correct in assuming you do NOT have to present any special coupons at the desk? Any help is of course appreciated.:D

Just got back on thursday.... no they do not even question the code... do print out your confirmation sheet... when we checked in the guy at the counter tried to give us a compact when I booked intermediate.. I said we have inter... he said no you booked compact.. I said look at the comformation... He said yes you do.. I think he was trying to pull one over on us... but no, they do not question the code....corvair

We used the fvg code. I found for me this was the cheapest. We used fastlane was good, just remember to print our conformation.. we loved having a car... you do not need coupon....corvair

There was no one in line for fastlane... we went right in... there were not many people in line for the other line either... it was about 12:30 in afternoon.. I have read when it is busy you need fastlane.. all the paper work is already done.....corvair
