We are torn between the two! I would love to hear the pros and cons to both. Are the layouts the same with the exception of the extra bath in Kidani? Thanks for all of your help!

We stayed in a 1BR concierge at Jambo and a 1BR SV at Kidani. Both were similar in layout but Kidani rooms are larger. The extra bathroom was a HUGE plus for us with 3 kids one being a tween. Another huge plus for us at Kidani was the under building parking since we were there during June and it was HOT! The lobby at Kidani is smaller as is the gift shop area. There is currently no CS option at Kidani except for limited offerings by the pool.
Personally we would prefer Kidani over Jambo but would be happy with either.

Jambo House villas are converted rooms. So there is no separate shower from the tub in the one bedroom and larger villas.

That's a big difference - Kidani's master bathroom has a separate walk-in shower. I found the combo tub/shower at Jambo to be hard to get in and out of. Also at Jambo you have to walk into the hallway to get from the master bedroom into the bathroom. That can cause some privacy issues if you have a mixed group.

Thank you all...I have one more question! I have a toddler and a five year old. Is there enough room to open the couch and chair in the living room in Jambo?

As long as you aren't in a value room, yes.

If this is your first trip staying at Jambo might be a good idea, since once you see the difference in the Kidani units, as long as you do not need a lot of CS, you will likely “never go back”

I am wait listed for Kidani...I am starting to hope it comes through. Is the room the same size as SSR we stayed there in a one bdrm in may (with the bathroom exception). This is when we bought DVC.

You can definitely have both open in either Jambo or Kidani, we are a family of 5 so we used both. There was a bit more room around them in Kidani for us but both worked.

1BR at Kidani are 807 sq.ft., Jambo 629-710 sq.ft. and SSR 714 sq.ft. We noticed a difference in size at Kidani right away. I hope your waitlist comes through for you!
