No mickey waffles when we went on July 9th. They had a lot of other great food.

My kids are crazy for Mickey Waffles...Any other "kid" friendly choices?

They had pastries (giant cinnamon rolls were delicious), eggs (plain and an omelet type of casserole which was really good and not too different), breakfast potatoes, banana french toast (my 12 yr old DD and DH loved the french toast), fruit, bacon, ham, sausage, etc. A lot of normal breakfast foods with a few "exotic" African choices. It was an excellent buffet. There was something for everyone. I’m sure they would like something. There were several smaller children on the trip and they seemed to enjoy it.
BTW…In case you were wondering, every party gets their own assigned table, so you don’t have to eat with strangers.

The only thing we found disappointing was that the eggs and egg casserole were gross- everything else was very good, tho, and I saw a lot of kids liking the french toast! The sunrise safari was spectacular, much better than I ever would have thought. We got so many great photos and saw so many more animals than ever before. They really stopped at all the savannahs- you will love it!

I did it last year when we stayed at AKV Conceirge. It was awesome. I'd say the actual safari time was about an hour. They were feeding the animals to make sure they would all be up and close to the road. We had a great guide who had been on an actual African safari.
