ROTC and Shades of Green

Does anyone know if college students who are part of ROTC are eligible for Shades of Green? My oldest DS will be starting college this fall and has received an Army ROTC scholarship. I thought that he might enjoy a trip to WDW next summer if he could use SOG.

I doubt that, but you could check the Shades of Green website at www.shadesofgreen.org, which states that the resort is for active duty and retired personnel. Anyway, that is just my assumption. Their website lists their phone number, which you could call for verification.

I work at Kansas State University ROTC and I believe that the answer is no - only if the cadet is part of a reserve or national guard unit. Since your son will be on federal scholarship, he cannot join a unit.
