:p I am so excited - I can hardly stand it! My Clematis is finally growing! I've never had one before, and I purchased this one in early April to grow up a metal Clothes Line pole that is cemented into my yard. Well, it was about 4 inches tall when I bought it, and it has stayed that way ever since. After a while, I figured it may not grow this year and I would have to wait until next season. I haven't checked on it in a few days, but I'm glad I did today! It has grown about 2 inches and has lots of new leaf buds on it! :D
I'm so happy! Is there anything you are just so excited about in your yard right now?

That's great news sorcerormickey!!! :) Do you know what kind of clematis it is, what colour the blooms will be?
Here's a link to a FAQ site hosted by the International Clematis Society, a good place to check for info if you should ever need it.

What am I excited about in my garden right now? Hmmmm....thinking..thinking...oh, my rose bush! It's doing wonderfully well, the best ever! My Monarda is close to opening, that's pretty exciting since it was a no-show last year. :D

I love clematis. I wish I had the "perfect spot" for it. I keep looking and hoping I'll find it!
My coneflowers are starting to appear. They are among my favorite plants so I am enjoying them at the moment!

Like gina my coneflowers are finally starting to take shape. Since I first thought it was a weed growing and was going to pull it up a couple of times - I'm VERY excited that I'm seeing growth on that one. Next one I'll get excited about will be the rose bush I planted a couple of weeks ago.

I did notice one thing....we do not cut it down...just leave it....the stems always look like they are brown and dead....but they aren;t...the college up the street has a huge one and it never gets cut either....the lady down the street has a gorgeous red one.....but I do like my purple.....now if they only came in LIME GREEN

My "excitement" plant is a new Monarda. I planted in my new flower beds earlier this summer along with another plant of the same variety. One of them just happily settled in and started thriving from the beginning... the other was doing a daily wilt thing and was very questionable whether it would survive at all. The happy news is... the wilty plant has settled down and is now thriving! It is about a week behind the other plant in blooming and is smaller - but it is definitely on solid footing now and is about to bloom. The "strong" plant has been blooming for a over a week now (gorgeous too!).

SNOWWARK- I cannot remember if it is purple or pink. I do know that it is just a regular flower, not the full double flowers. I guess the color will be a surprise!:D
PUMBA- How about Bells of Ireland? Mine are just starting to open with great lime green flowers! It could be the official flower of the DIS!;) Or how about those green gladiolas I saw new this year?:)

Have to say I am excited about 2 different plants, can't decided which one I'm happier with!! My butterfly bush is FULL of deep purple blooms and is just beautiful. DH though we had lost it last winter, but it has grown taller than me and is so pretty. Also DS David and I are doing the "happy raspberry" dance!! Our two raspberry plants have really taken off, and are both FULL of blossoms!! We can't wait to harvest our very first raspberry. Although DH doesn't appreciate the plants drooping out into the lawn when he's mowing!! LOL

An official DIS flower, what an interesting idea! :D :)
Make sure you let us know what colour the flowers are Sorcerormickey! :D
Wow Redd45, a green flowered peony? I don't think I've ever seen one, that is very cool!

I'm excited about my stargazers. They didn't disappoint, as I'd feared. All of them came up, except for one bulb and many of them will be blooming soon. I'm definitely sharing the excitement.....:)
