I'm sure the number is higher than 12.....
Disney Water Parks are huge with 1000's & 1000's of visitors going through on a weekly basis, a high precentage of those would be kids, easy targets for these types of perverts & I'm sure DW attracts lots of them! This stuff happens everywhere, all the time, even local pools. Does take some of the "magic" away though, doesn't it? A real shame for sure!

It sure does.
I'd like to point out that the article is not specific to WDW water parks. Both Aquatica and Wet & Wild are both on there as well. The rape happened at Wet & Wild, which is a Universal Park. So yeah - everywhere. So horrible.

I would like to point out all the kids mentioned where young teens the age when you let go off and do things on there own, when you don't think twice about sending then to the bathroom by themselves.

We all I think get a false sense of security at WDW, but sadly it's not immune to this sort of thing. Children, teens, women alone, everyone has to take the usual precautions even at Disney. Having said this, IMO Disney has a very good security system, and most of these people do get caught.
