Disney Singstar £2.99 at Argos!!!

Just wanted to share a great deal with you guys.

Ordered Disney Singstar for the Playstation 2 for only £2.99 at Argos. I just reserved a copy to pick up at the store as it costs more to get it delivered.

Remember, if you already have one of the original Playstation 3 Singstar games then this will work on your PS3 as well! (not sure about the song packs on disc such as Abba and Queen).

We have already got this however it doesn't work on the PS3. None of the PS2 Singstar games do.

Sorry Joh, but it does work on PS3. You need to use the 'Swap Disc' feature. To do this you must have a PS3 Singstar game in your console. See the folowing, taken from the Playstation website...

"While playing a SingStar PS3 disc, at the song select screen, hit the [select] button to swap discs and play the songs from the inserted disc. The songs are not saved to the hard drive.

This is a unique feature for SingStar and makes it possible for fans who have already built up their PS2 SingStar collection to continue enjoying it on PS3. It will be delivered via a free game update and will work with all current SingStar PS3 discs. It will also be included on future SingStar PS3 discs.

This new feature will work with all current PS3 system models and does not require a system software update."

I'm tempted! We have a PS3 but no other Singstar games as yet... My birthday is coming up though ;) I have Lips for Xbox 360 which is great but not a huge range of songs on there so i'm a bit bored with it.

I know nothing about consoles but my DD's would love to do a bit of Disney karaoke. Here is a question: I have been offered a Playstation 2 on freecycle but the lady said it has no controls. Would it cost a lot to get the necessary bits and bobs so that my DD's could use the Disney Singstar?:confused3
