Hi Everyone! I'm going to try something new this time. I'm going to do my Pre Trip Report & Trip Report on YouTube along with what I write on the Dis. My video's will all be between 3-4 minutes (so I won't waste too much of your time).
I've done 2 written TRs before (links below) so I thought I would mix it up a bit. If you like TR with alot of pictures & videos then your in the right place.

Check out my intro - Please subscribe if your interested.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdY_MoBQvAA

I'll be back later to add some more information about our family.

Thanks!

First off - I saw that I accidentally posted on the TR section. Hopefully someone will put me over on the PTR since we won't be ready for a TR for several months. ;)

I posted a new youtube video (skylar helped me with this one)- OR - you can read the info here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUZXKhy3whw

We've had our room booked for awhile now - but I just started with all the planning since I just recently finished my last TR. :thumbsup2
There is just something about the Dis that makes you want to go to Disney World more!!

Thank goodness for the DVC or this trip wouldn't be as great as it's going to be. My dream of all dreams has always been to stay at the Contemporary resort... GUESS WHAT!!!??? We get to!!!
We are staying 5 nights at the Wilderness Lodge Villas Then 6 nights at Bay Lake Towers!!! I am soooooooo exited. Right now we have a Bay Lake View and are wait listed for a Magic Kingdom view. :yay:

We stayed at The Wilderness Lodge last time. Who knew Disney could be like that??? We love the WL and that's why we are splitting the stay (gotta make Shawn happy - it's not always 'all about natale' :))

Here's some pictures of the Wilderness Lodge from our last trip:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009%20day3/2009220.jpg

Some of Walt's personal trains are located in the lobby of the DVC section.

The view from our room.

The only pictures I have of Bay Lake Towers are these two.

It doesn't even open until August 4th!! I'm soooooooo excited!!

Next Up.... Our Disney History.

This is such a good idea and your DD is SO FREAKIN CUTE. :rotfl:

Just watched your first two videos. The rooms at BLT look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We're booked at BWV in December, but maybe I can convince DH that next time BLT is the way to go :thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip, count me in!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if anyone was going to watch them. :)
I'll be taking ALOT of pictures of BLT - plus one of my friends is staying there for opening day in August!!! So I'll steal a bunch of pics from her.

I'll see if I can get Dexter to help me out with my next video.
Here's a funny one of Dexter that I posted on my last TR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bzdjr9b_01M

Thanks. It's alot of fun to make the TR videos. Takes awhile to edit all of the "ummmmms" and pauses out. But the kids love it! Dexter wanted to watch is sister over and over again. :)

We've been so busy! I have either been working or looking for a new job. I must have filled out 25+ applications in the past week. It's getting very old!
The crazy part is that no one seems to be hiring!! And if they are hiring they are getting flooded with resumes.
Oh well... I'm sure something will come up.

ANYWHO - we took the kids to the Botanical Gardens.
It is sooooo beautiful there. I thought I would post some pictures since it reminded me of Disney landscaping. :thumbsup2

This is one of your first views once you enter the garden.

It was a perfect day yesterday. If you guys live anywhere near the chicagoland area the Botanical Gardens is a great way to spend a day - or even a few hours.

No real "Disney" update yet. I'm still working on getting our next youtube videos ready.
OH - I guess there is one update. I called one of my best friends from Florida (alicia) and asked if she and her husband would come and visit us in January when we were in Disney. They said they would love to - so - I was able to book them a room at the Wilderness Lodge.
This is another reason why I LOVE the DVC... I would never have been able to 'pay' for a room for them. But I was able to use my points and treat them to a night at a Deluxe resort. How cool is that????

Thanks For Reading!

Natale Update:
I finally got a new job!!! It's a Whole Foods... I should start on Wednesday. It is still pending my background check  I'm sure it will be fine since the only time I have never really done anything bad (I'm boring).

So life is about to get even crazier - I'm going to keep my current job plus this new job at Whole foods. Depending on how many hours they give me I may even think about taking a third job during the holiday season. :scared1:

It's almost been three months since Shawn has worked (thank goodness for unemployment!!!!) But I have already told him that we ARE going to Disney no matter what!!! After working three jobs I'm going to need a vacation!!!

I'm going to keep on posting on youtube when I have time BUT I think I'm going to put my Dis PTR on the back burner until we get closer to our trip. So please subscribe to my youtube account if you like the videos. (I just added a tour of the BLT models at the Doorway to Dreams in Schaumburg, IL)

Thanks for following along... I'll be back to my PTR in a few months.

My job is going well. Working at Whole Foods has been a blast! I'm working in the bakery and part of my job is tasting everything! YUM!! But it doesn't work too well with trying to lose weight.:rotfl2:

Trip Update:

1- I signed up for the Family Fun Run 5k! :thumbsup2Should be allot of fun, and with all the cake I've been eating I'm going to need to exercise! I don't really have a 'goal' time... I just want to get to the point were I can run the whole time. Very doable I think.

2- The coolest update is that Disney Cruise Line is offering 'Kids Sail Free'!!!! So guess what???? We just added a four night cruise to our trip!!! :thumbsup2 We didn't add any additional nights to our vacation - it's just taking away some nights at the resorts. I really wanted to spend that long in Disney World - BUT - $947 for a four night cruise for our family was just too good to pass up!!! DCL already has $300 of ours from a old reservation so that brings our balance down to $647.

I guess that completes our update for now! I'm sooooo excited! All I know is that we better make it to Castaway Cay this time. But I know better then to 'expect' that we'll make it there. So we will pack the sand toys again and hope for the best!! :rolleyes1

More later -

Congratulations on your new job!! I'm glad you like it! :thumbsup2

Your DD reminds me a lot of mine. She has the exact same hair color and length... My DD is 3 1/2 though and just started growing her hair about 9 months ago. :lmao:

Your plans look great, congrats on adding a Disney Cruise, it's going to be SOOO much fun. I really should consider booking one since kids ride free. Just don't think I could convince the husband.

Looks like your going to have a new baby on your next Disney Vacation. I would recommend waiting on the cruise. I think I'm going to have a bunch more fun on our 2010 cruise then the one we just took in January. My DH and Dexter had a blast, but I was too busy working with naps and bed time with Skylar to truly enjoy everything.

Thanks for reading!

So my family has left me for the day. They are off to Shawn's family reunion. I haven't attended in a few years so I'm not too upset I have to work today - BUT - I'm a bit worried about him traveling 2 hours away with the two little people without me.

Here is a picture from a few minutes ago right before they left.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/summer%2009/kdk_0427.jpg

They are getting so big!!!!

So yesterday I came home to find our cruise propaganda!!! :cool1: They send it out a few weeks before the final payment is due. It's a 'hey don't forget to pay for your cruise' and 'here's more stuff you can spend money on' brochure. It's fun to look at.

We won't be doing any Disney Shore Excursions, but I am going to try to find out how much money it would be to visit the aquarium at Paradise Island on our own. I think the kids are too young for the water park, but they would enjoy looking at the fish. :)

I also need to find out if it would be worth it for us to rent a car to drive to the port instead of taking the Disney Bus. I would love to arrive at the port early in the morning so that we get as much Boat time as possible. PLUS - I have read stories about how sometimes there have been security problems in the early afternoon and the people who didn't arrived to the port early have to wait in the parking lot until it is resolved. :scared1: I'm sure it has only happened a few times, but with our Castaway Cay luck, this seems like something that would happen to us. :rolleyes1

So here are our plans so far:

January 6th - Fly to Disney World
Check in at The Wilderness Lodge

January 7th - Fun Day (yet to be planned)

January 8th - Natale Runs The Family 5K at Epcot!!!! :yay:

January 9th - Fun Day (yet to be planned)

January 10th - Wake up early and board the Disney Wonder!!!!

January 11th - Nassau, Paradise Island & Buy lots of Rum

January 12th - Day as Sea

January 13th - Castaway Cay (hopefully :upsidedow) Maybe I'll run the 5K here too!!

January 14th - Off the Boat and Check in at Bay Lake Towers!!! :woohoo:

January 15th - Fun Day (yet to be planned)

January 16th - Fun Day (yet to be planned)

January 17th - Fun Day, until we have to fly home on a very late flight - yet to be purchased.

I'm thinking about extending our trip until the 18th, if we can get and extra day at Bay Lake :).

We were originally going to buy the DP, but now I'm not so sure. It seems like the only benefit of the DP is knowing that your food is already paid for. Hummmm.... not sure if that's worth it. Plus it was kinda hard on our last trip to make sure we were at all of our ADRs. The only restaurants I want to make sure we do are- Chef Mickey's, Tepen Edo, and Trails End Buffet. Other then that, I don't really care.

Guess that's it for now, I'm going to try and enjoy these few hours by myself before I have to get ready for work.

103 days to go!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Since I don't have any real new Disney Plans I thought I would do a little Side Trip Report of our 10 year anniversary day!!!

Since we didn't have the budget to do something amazing like a Disney Cruise - we decided that a day without the kids in Chicago and a Cubs game would be fun! We started the day by taking the kids to my parents house and then quickly going to the train station.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8547.jpg

We got there early, but soon enough we were picked up by our train and on our way to the Cubs game.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8551.jpg

Shawn LOVES trains!! So he had fun as soon as we got close to the tracks. We went rode in the front car so that Shawn could look out the window... (he's such a little boy!!)

I though it would be funny so go up to the second floor on the train and take a picture :)
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8554.jpg
I thought it was funny... until the 'train ticket taker guy' (not sure what they are called... I guess I could get up and ask Shawn... but I think you know who I mean) ANYWHO - he saw me on the way back to my seat and asked if I was taking a 'sexy picture' and I laughed and said... "I don't think I can look sexy." He laughed and walked away. After I looked at the picture I could see why he said that :rotfl2: Not that I looked sexy... but it did look like I was trying. ** EPIC FAIL**

Here are some pictures we took as we were getting close to the city.
There was this awesome cloud hovering over the city.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8573.jpg

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8575.jpg

So once we got to the city we had to find the 'Red Line' so that we could take another train to The Cubs game.

We had an idea of where to walk, since we had gone a few years back. But my first thought was to find someone with a Cubs shirt on and follow them. :thumbsup2 First we were following some VERY slow walkers and it was getting irritating. So we ditched them and starting following a girl in VERY short shorts. They walked much faster.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8579.jpg

We finally got to our El Station.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8580.jpg
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8582.jpg

The ride was uneventful...
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8591.jpg

Until... I hear Shawn say, "Was she naked!!!??"
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8595.jpg
I guess there was a girl on her roof top deck sunbathing. The train was moving so fast that he didn't have time to take a second look :lmao: The guy that was sitting in front of us must have saw the same thing, because he couldn't stop laughing!!!

After all the giggles stopped we arrived a Wrigley Field.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8597.jpg

These are the tickets we paid for...
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8599.jpg

But since the people next to us didn't show up this is the view we got...
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8600.jpg

Our snack.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8605.jpg

The game was good... They were losing and then they were winning and then ultimately they lost.

"Make a funny face because the cubs are losing"
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8613.jpg

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8618.jpg

I took this picture because it was cool that people are inside the score board!!!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8623.jpg

Game over... check out these crowds!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8629.jpg

Then we went window shopping abit.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8631.jpg

We didn't spend any money... I couldn't believe that we took $100 out of the ATM and went home with $60. :confused3

The cloud was still there when we left.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8632.jpg

Time to take the train home.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8641.jpg

There is the awesome statue by the train station by our house. It looks like it's raining just around him... I got a little wet trying to get under the umbrella.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/CUBS%20GAME%2009/IMG_8644.jpg

We had a very nice dinner at a local resturant and crashed on the couch when we got home.

102 days until out trip... and I have GREAT news!!!

My mom doesn't have cancer!! :cool1: She found out a few months back that she had spots on her lungs - then a few weeks ago she got another scan and there were more spots.
After two biopsies (the first one was unsuccessful) we found out that it is just some sort of infection. :thumbsup2 I don't think I have ever been so happy to find out someone had an infection in my life!!!

I now feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can REALLY look forward to our vacation! My parents have also made reservations to go on the cruise with us!!! How cool is that???!!!??? They have until October 27th to change their mind (that's when the final payment is due) but I think I have them convinced that a Disney Cruise is a GREAT idea!!!

I just wanted to share my good news with someone!!! :woohoo: It really puts life into prospective.

I finally did my Disney History on Youtube. The kids history is going to be so much more fun to make because I'm going to be able to include video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiDT8VJSGC4

So I was looking at the Disboards rules and they have strict rules about private conversations... so someone better post a comment before the shut me down for having a conversation with myself!!! :lmao:

I get to do the double digit dance today!!!
99 days to go!!! :cool1::cool1:

We went to the Doorway to Dreams 2 Year Anniversary Celebration this past weekend. It was very fun!! Derek DeBoer (our vacation club guide) gave the presentation along with another guide. He did a great job.
If anyone reading (that is if anyone IS reading) lives in the Chicago-land area and is even some what considering the Disney Vacation Club you NEED to talk to Derek!!! He ROCKS! Plus they are doing a new promotion now that if you go and listen to their presentation you get a gift card if you mention a DVC member's name. Feel free to use mine or someone else's.

I have some cool & video to post from this weekend, but I need to get it on my computer first.

Oh and :congrats: on your 10 year anny!! You did say 10 right?

:woohoo: There are people still out there!!

So far so good with my parents. They haven't even been talking about canceling so I hope that keeps up! Dexter is going to have so much fun with them on Mickey's Boat... My dad and Dexter have always been very close. We lived with my parents for awhile when Dexter was just a baby and they developed a VERY close relationship.

Yes, It was our ten year anniversary!! I was 19 and Shawn was 21 when we got married. I have some of our wedding pictures in my last youtube video... the link is in the post above. We looked like babies!! (here is the link again so you don't have to look for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiDT8VJSGC4 )

More people! :)

thanks for reading! I can't explain the relief I felt when my mom got a clean bill of health!

WELCOME to the Disboards!! We were all Dis newbies at one time - so have fun here and enjoy the ride! Are you new to Disney too?

I am really going to have to sit down and get all of our plans together soon. I also really have to start training for the 5k!!! :scared1: It's only a 5k so I know it will be fine... but I had a horrible dream that I woke up and it was time to go to Disney (not the bad part) In my dream I realized that I had never started getting ready for the 5k. OOPS!!
I know as long as I have 6 weeks I can get to the comfort point... but I really want to start early. My schedule has just been so messed up because of my job. :headache:

talk soon!

I had to share with you what my parents did for Dexter, Skylar and their cousin Emmie.

They had a Pirate and Princess Party!!! pixiedust:

First my mom took them and got them dressed up.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/treasure%20hunt/100_0039.jpg

Then the hunt started... they took off the first clue.
My dad took the whole morning setting up clues. He took pictures that would lead the kids to the next clue and then the treasure.

:offtopic: <---- again

So last night was CRAZY!!! I have had a bad cold/flu the last few days where the cough has been bad. Well both kids got the same cough. (bad mommy should have used Lysol).
It seems to have affected Dexter the worse. Yesterday he was coughing and coughing.. and again I was a bad mommy and thought he was faking it. He tends to be very dramatic sometimes. WELL - around 1pm he started to wheeze a bit. THEN around 7pm it seems worse. I called his pediatrician and they said just prop him up with another pillow and call them in the morning. I even asked if I should take him to the hospital and she said, "Only if his breathing gets very labored" But she had the 'over protective mommy' tone. So I thought I was being crazy.
So the next few hours were not fun.. he was complaining the whole time and sounding really bad. Around midnight I said enough is enough and bundled him up and took him to the Hospital. (shawn stayed home with skylar) By the time we were on the way to the hospital he couldn't even say more then 2 words without pausing to take a breath.

They had us in a room and surrounded by 4 doctors and several nurses within 2 minutes of entering the emergency room :scared1:. They told me that if a young child EVER has a hard time breathing that you need to take care of it immediately because things can turn very quickly. :sad2: They gave him steroids and a breathing mask and he was breathing much better within 10 minutes! :)

We ended up staying the night because they wanted to give him a few more treatments. The whole thing ended up fine - but I wanted to share this story with you because you really should always listen to yourself and NOT the crazy doctors when they act like your a crazy mommy. :headache:

He's in his bed sleeping right now but here is a video he made when he got home... I think the meds they gave him made him hyper!!! He wouldn't stop talking a mile a minute to all the nurses and the doctors. I love that tiny man!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gebF2dKvzxo

If you watch the video you'll see pictures from the hospital... I took them because Dexter asked me to.

January 16th - Fun Day (yet to be planned)
Shawn (and my dad if they come) will go on the Steam Train Tour

January 17th - Fun Day, until we have to fly home on a very late flight - yet to be purchased.

So I still have my parents Cruise booked - and they have until the 27th to say yes or no for sure. BUT I think I have them 99% convinced. :woohoo: I hope they come! The cruise is AMAZING!! It's the most relaxing way to enjoy Disney (well... that and owning in the DVC and chilling out in your room for the afternoon because you've been to Disney a million times).

I can't wait!!!

I also don't want to jinx myself... but I have a job interview with Disney on Thursday!!!! :thumbsup2 I've been keeping that news under my hat for some time... but I just can't anymore - I'm going to EXPLODE with excitement!!! It's not at the Disney Store - it's something a bit cooler. I'll fill you guys in on it later. :thumbsup2
I have wanted to work for Disney since I can remember. So if this works out I will be a VERY happy Natale!!! But if it doesn't work out I'm afraid I will be thrown in a deep Disney Depression :sad2: But the best medicine for that is going to Disney World - and I'm doing that in less then 80 days. So I hope the Mouse wants me - but if not... I'll just keep trying!

Disney Job Interview...

So the job I am trying DESPRITLY to get is at the Doorway to Dreams!!! For those of you who don't know what that is - It's a store here in Schaumburg, IL inside the Woodfield Mall. They have a two-bedroom model of the Disney Vacation Club accomodations of Bay Lake Towers. :thumbsup2

I don't know all the details about the job - but I would be one of the 'Cast Members' (how cool is that) that would be in the front of the store talking to people about Disney World and the Vacation Club. I believe my main job would be to get people to come inside and talk to a vacation club guide.

OK - so first of all I would get to work for Disney. Secondly - I would get to talk about Disney World all day long. And 'C' :) I would be able to make little kids smile by passing out stickers.
I'm sure there is allot more involved with the job BUT I have a feeling that I would be good at it.

I'm not a shy person at all - I love to talk to people - and if you get me started talking about Disney World, I won't shut up!!!

So that's my big JOB news. There was a part time & a full time position open. I would love to get the full time position so that I can get down to one job.

Talking about it with you guys makes it even more real... I really hope I get this job, but I also think that if they decide to go with someone else at this time I will just try again.

So if you live in the Chicagoland area and I get this job you are required to come and visit me!!! :flower3:

DISNEY UPDATE: My parents are coming with us FOR SURE!!! They just finished paying for the cruise and I booked them two nights at the Wilderness Lodge for after the cruise!!!! :cool1: Can I get a "WOOP WOOP!!"

Ok - So here's the update on the whole job thing. I didn't get it. :sad1:
I asked the cast member who interviewed me what I should do to increase my chances of getting the job next time and he said to try and get some more sales experience. I was depressed at first - but then I decided not to let it get me down too much. So later that afternoon I drove over to the mall and got a part time seasonal job at the Disney Store. :lmao: Hey - it could turn into a permanent part-time job. :thumbsup2 Plus the Disney perks are great if it does turn permanent.
I'm sure that this job isn't really the 'sales experience' that he was talking about. But... it can't hurt! Plus I really had my heart set on being a cast member!!!
The interview process for the Disney Store was painless. It went quickly and by the end of the interview she told me I had the job pending a background check. (I'm sure I'll pass!) :rolleyes1
I guess I can start working at the Disney Store as soon as next week some time.

I don't think I told you all... but the hours at Whole Foods were getting rough! I was working 2pm - 10:30pm four days a week. Not the easiest thing to do with two small children. So I talked to them and went seasonal. So whenever I have time or whenever they need me we'll get in touch and work out a schedule. The best part about it is I get to keep my discount! :thumbsup2 They are opening a new location in the spring of 2010 - so I may try to work at the bakery there, if I can get better schedule.

OK - NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM:

I'm so excited about my parents joining us on the cruise and so is Dexter! He can't wait to show them around the ship. They have such a special bond with that TinyMan! :)
The cruise seems like all I talk about with my parents now!

I really need to work on an actual Disney update. :rolleyes1 I'll have time this week... so I'll try to work on a update and a new video. PLUS - I really need to start training for the 5k!!! We are still more then 6 weeks out (my minimum training time)- but I'm cutting it close!
I'm also thinking about adding a few days to the front of our trip now that I don't have to worry about asking the time time off work .

More later

Sorry the 1st job didn't work out for you right now Natale but ya never know in the future.

That's so cool you were able to get right in at TDS! I'm still so upset that they closed all of ours! (but my wallet isn't!)

I had started running a few weeks ago and was getting really going good. Of course I caught the flu last week and haven't lifted a finger, let alone actually RAN somehwere, since. My DH did buy me a nice IPOD touch for our anny. Hopefully that will give me the motivation I need to get going again. It was amazing how much stonger my body and lungs felt after just 2 weeks of running! Good Luck with the training!

Running is alot harder then it seems at first... but it's amazing how your body adapts and you are able to run longer and faster. Kinda cool.
Sorry you had the flu... seems like everyone is getting sick. I love IPODs and do not know how the world survived without them. I have the little IPOD shuffle and LOVE it!!! I love how you can just clip it on your shirt and don't need an arm band.

I hope you were able to get back into it!
My DH isn't as nice as yours.... I asked him what he thought about me running and eating better and he said.... "It's about time!"
I didn't get too mad... cause he's right.

Great pre-TR! Congrats on getting a job at the Disney store since that was what you wanted. I worked at WDW back in 1999 on the college program and then temporarily worked part-time at my local Disney Store a few years later.

Also, good luck on your run. I learned how to run by doing the C25k program - but it's a 9 week program. It teaches you how to go from no running to running a 5k. As you can see from the ticker in my sig below, I'm now doing the full marathon on Jan. 10.

I can't wait for more updates! Your kids are so precious. You guys are a cute family.

So yesterday I started thinking about our trip and how I really haven't been planning it. Then I started to panic.
I started thinking about the cost of food & if it really is better now that I decided not to get the DP. And then I started thinking - well if I am going to possibly get the DP then I better make ADRs because it's getting close.

ANYWAYS - we changed our minds again and are going to get the DP. Thank goodness we aren't going during a really busy time. I was able to get most of the ADRs that I wanted.:thumbsup2

So here's are plans (with pictures from last year)...

Wednesday - Arrive in Orlando around 3pm, take the Magical Express to our resort.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009%20day3/2009220.jpg
After we check in to the Wilderness Lodge and drop off our unnecessary carry ons, I thought we would take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom and grab a snack. :lovestruc
We have ADR at Whispering Cannon Cafe for dinner. It's kind of a late dinner - but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't grab a hotdog in the park.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009%20day3/2009332.jpg

Thursday - Have breakfast in the room (still not sure if I'm going to order Garden Grocery or some other grocery delivery service) This will be our Hollywood Studio Day. I don't think I have EVER done our HS day first but it works out because I was told that there is a bus from HS to the Wide World of Sports. I need to go there on Thursday to pick up my race stuff. :)
So I'm thinking we'll eat a counter service for lunch and head over to the WWS around 2-3ish. After I pick up what I need we'll head back our resort. We've been wanting to rent those little boats for awhile and this hopefully will be a perfect afternoon to do so. That night I have ADRs at Tony's Town Square (got to carb load for the big race.. all 3.1 miles)

Friday - I'll wake up early and head over to EPCOT :thumbsup2 The 5k starts at 7am. The park doesn't open until 9am... so I'll head back over to the family, or they'll meet me in the park. We'll spend the day in EPCOT.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009%20day3/2009292.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day4/2009029.jpg
The only other plans I have for the day is dinner at the Garden Grill.

My parents will arrive on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Saturday - Breakfast in the room and then finally our Magic Kingdom day!!!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009%20day%202/IMG_7186.jpg
I am determined to be there at the rope drop (even if I'm by myself)!! This will be our 'Magical' Magic Kingdom day... I hope my parents get here on Friday so they can enjoy all of today with us!
I have ADR at Chef Mickey's for dinner! :woohoo: I like Chef Mickey's... and last year Dexter had a good time too!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day7/2009237.jpg

Sunday - I'm thinking about breaking the rules and having breakfast at Fort Wilderness. VERY EARLY! (I still havent gotten ADR because I want to confirm that's ok with everyone) This is the day we leave Disney World behind and head over to Disney Cruise Line!!!!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day8/2009280.jpg
My parents are renting a car so we get to drive with them. It's all very exciting. I'm sure this day will be filled with Dexter dragging my parents around the ship and showing him everything he remembers. He's so proud of himself that he knows something my parents don't and can't wait to share it with them. (I LOVE my tiny man!!)

Monday - This is our Nassau day.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day9/2009359.jpg
We love waking up early and eating breakfast outside while watching Nassau get closer and closer. :) We want to get off the boat for sure to get some Rum (lots of rum according to Shawn). I also want to plan something else but I'm not sure what.
I made Palo dinner reservations with Shawn :lovestruc I hope my parents have fun with the kids :rotfl:

Tuesday - Castaway Cay Day!!!! (hopefully) They have a casual 5K in the morning... so I thought it would be fun. The rest of this day will (hopefully) be filled with exploring the island and snorkeling. I'm also thinking about renting a bike :thumbsup2
I believe this is Pirate night!!! :yay: Fireworks!!!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day9/2009374.jpg

Wednesday - Day at sea. There are a bunch of things I'm planning on doing on the boat such as, Martini Tasting, Galley Tour ect. But the only thing that I have FOR SURE planned is a Palo Brunch with my mom!! Can't wait!

Continued on next post...

Thursday - Arrive back at Port Canaveral. :sad1: It's OK - cause it's not time to go home yet! My parents will drive us back to Disney World, we'll check in at Bay Lake Towers. They will be across the lake at the Wilderness Lodge!!! We'll be ditching my parents for awhile and heading to Downtown Disney. We're meeting up with one of my friends for a few hours (she'll be in Disney while we are on the boat).
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/IMG_7059.jpg
That night we have ADR at Teppan Edo.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day4/2009038.jpg

Friday - Two of our other Florida friends are driving over to see us! We'll be playing in their park of choice until we ditch the kids with my parents and head over to EPCOT where I have ADR for the four of us at Le Cellier!!! :woohoo:

Saturday - Shawn & My dad are going on the Steam Train Tour.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day6/2009153.jpg
Shawn did it last year and LOVED it. I'm thinking that the rest of us will head over to the AK since Shawn hates it  and then we'll meet up with them later. Don't have ADRs for tonight yet  Our friends & my parents will leave some time today.

Sunday - It's over. :sad2: Our flight doesn't leave until 7pm so today will be our 'catch up' day.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/Disney2009/disney2009day12/2009596.jpg

WOW! I'm starting to think we'll need a vacation from our vacation!!! I would love to plan a surprise weekend for my family... but that won't happen until Shawn gets called back to work full time. I also think that our 2011 trip will not include DCL... after these two amazing/crazy trips - I'm going to need to slow it down!:)

Thanks for reading!!!
I can't wait to start at the Disney Store. I am going in on Saturday to fill out the rest of my paper work and then on Sunday there is a Cast Member meeting..... hee hee... I'm I Cast Member. (is it wrong that I just got the chills) :rotfl:
The C25K ROCKS! I think for my ninth week I'll actually be running the 5K :) I'm only in my second week but I'm enjoying it (kinda).
Good Luck with the Marathon!!! I think people who run the Marathon are some of the most amazing people out there! I can see myself MAYBE doing a half marathon.... maybe

Thanks again!

Awesome plans! I can't wait to hear all about it!

So, I want to get in shape too! I just went to the doctor and gained 30lbs since May! I downloaded the C25K App last night and now I just have to start it....:rotfl: How is it going for you? What do you do to stretch? And when do you find time to do it?

Tomorrow I'll be doing the 3rd work out of my 2nd week.
I went out and found a treadmill for $150 - I would have a very hard time finding time to run outside. I may seem like a really bad mommy for saying this... but my secret is... I put the kids in front of the TV, put up the baby gate and do my workout. :) I currently have the treadmill set up in a place where I can watch them during my entire workout, but they can't get to me. :thumbsup2 It's really not safe for them to be around a moving treadmill anyway.
It's going really well... I have also changed my eating habits dramatically!!! No more sweets or really any junk food. My food for the last two weeks has been salads, low calorie soups, fruit, and a few other healthy things. But I really don't feel like I'm depriving myself. I have already lost about 6lbs!!!
Here are my Week one (just started) and Week two pictures.... NO LAUGHING!!!

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/WEIGHT/IMG_8657.jpghttp://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/WEIGHT/IMG_8669.jpghttp://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/WEIGHT/IMG_8656.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/WEIGHT/IMG_8668.jpg
I think I can see it in my tummy and butt :)
Also, come join us at http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2132406 It's a bunch of shrinking Diser.

I kinda just stretch what hurts... don't really have a method.

When we are in Disney ALL BETS ARE OFF!!! Only 52 more days until I can have a cookie!!!

Great job with the running! Those are some great tips if only our itty bitty apartment was bigger. My mom said she would come over in the morning to run with me, but I just don't have the motivation right now, it is getting to cold to be outside and it is almost T-day!

Keep us updated on your progress for the 5K it may just inspire me yet!

I know this trip is going to be here before I know it!!! The next month & a half are going to go VERY quickly!! I can't believe I actually have three jobs now!! I guess three part time jobs kinda add up to 1 full time job... just really weird hours.

The running is going good, I think I'll be ready in time!

Brrrr.... running outside could be rough. I did that last time I was running a few years ago. The trick is to dress like it is 30 degrees warmer outside then it really is. You get warmed up very quickly.
Good luck! It's amazing how quickly your body gets used to jogging.

How about I inspire you to run and you can inspire me to pay off my debt!!! :thumbsup2

((Oh, wait! That's marathon week-end. :headache: I'm not ready!!))

You should totally be fine doing the 5k the last week of the C25k program. I never did that last week. I'm not even certain that I finished out the 8th week of the program. By that point my body was more than capable of handling a three mile run.

Congrats on your weight loss! :thumbsup2 And kuddos to you for training on a treadmill. I could never do that. I currently despise the treadmill.

I'm sure you'll be fine! :thumbsup2 I couldn't believe it when I found out that some DISers walked the whole thing!!! I'm sure they walk fast... but still!

I remember when I did something similar to the C25k program a few years ago (me and my mom participated in the Danskin triathlon in disney) that I was able to jump ahead a couple weeks near the end.
I do think it's harder to run on a treadmill... maybe harder is not really the right word. But it's sooooo boring!! If I had someone to watch the kids I would probably go and run on a indoor track during our cold days.
OH WELL... Disney World will be nice outside!

See you there!

So I went online and found out that if I flew out early in the morning we could save some money!!! So now we are booked on a 6:45 flight  Not even sure if I am going to be able to go to sleep the night before! But to be honest with you I would much rather take a nap in Disney World then sleep in at my house!! :hippie:

I figure we have to leave our house at around 3:30am! Not that big of a deal, until you think about the little people that I have to get dressed!!!
So I figure I'll be out of bed by 2:00am, and since Skylar sometimes doesn't go to sleep until 11pm that will be VERY interesting!

We'll be doing baths the night before for the kids & we'll have everything but the bathroom things packed in the car. It will still be interesting.

Oh and don't tell Shawn - because I told him the flight was at 7am :rotfl2: It just sounded so much easier to handle then 6ish.

Can't wait!!!

I guess this kinda is a trip update since I'm doing the 5k...

So I just finished the third week of the C25K!! It's amazing how your body adapts to the running! In the beginning of the week I didn't think I could finish the work out... by the third work out it was not that big of a deal. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was 'easy' but I was able to finish and I didn't feel like I was going to die. PLUS I felt like I could keep going, but I didn't have time.

Next week is going to be rough! But, just like this week, I know I'll be able to do it! :thumbsup2

Great Job! I am doing the C25K too now! I started on Thursday night! So I ran Thursday and Saturday so far. My mom is going to come in the morning, by 8 so I can run 8-8:30 and be in the shower and dressed and out the door by 8:45 or so! I hope it works out! The 1st night I ran by myself outside after Aaron fell asleep, so Jason was asleep in the bedroom in case he woke up! So I am glad I figured out how to work around our schedules. I already feel better! Now I just hope it doesn't start getting too cold!!:scared:

Good Luck on week 4 that looks tough! That 5 minute straight jog! :scared1: Keep us posted on how it goes :).

Only 17 days till Disney....

YES! I said 17 days. My (not so) big surprise for Shawn was increasing our trip one day and leaving on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
I started looking at our schedule and started to panic that we would be rushing the whole time we were in Disney SO it was the logical thing for us to leave a day early.
The part that flopped was the surprise. I started to realize that Shawn doesn't pay attention to things like "We're leaving on Wednesday." So if on Monday before the trip I said... "Guess what Shawn? We're leaving tomorrow." He would have said something like, "OK." He doesn't pay much attention to details. I'm not even sure if he knows what resort we are staying at.

So I'm getting very excited, but at the same time freaking out about money. Like everyone, we are being effected by the economy BIG TIME! I didn't fully understand how bad it was going to be. We are still trying to figure out if we are going to get the dinning plan or not. But every time I add up how much money were going to spend with out the dinning plan it comes very close, and with the dinning plan we eat so much better.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it before or not, but we made a reservation for one of my Florida friends with our DVC. Well... she just called me today and said that they can't come anymore on that day. Anyone who knows anything about the DVC knows that we are less then 30 days out so if I can't find her a different room on a different day those points may be waisted this year. I'm not mad at her at all. It's not her fault, her boss quit and they told everyone that their planned January vacations are cancelled! :headache:

I guess that's all the updates for now... I have allot to do in the next 17 days! Hope I get it all done!!!! (these are the kind of problems I like to have!)

My friend ended up just switching dates so we only have 7 points in limbo. I'm hoping I get a good job or DH goes back to work this spring. Then maybe we can squeeze in a 'adult only' vacation. (I really need one of those)

If you have any DVC questions just let me know. You can get some really good deals renting points!! But if you go to Disney all the time you can get some really good deals by buying DVC! :thumbsup2 We only have 100 points right now, but during value season it's only 70ish points for a studio at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! I can't belive how much the per point price has gone up in just the last few years!

Only 7 more sleeps until we go to Disney World!!! :cool1:

I have so much left to do. I still haven't finished my Fish Extender gifts! I'm making something very time consuming so I hope I finish in time. I guess that means there will be less sleep then I think. :)

The kids are very excited to go to Disney World. Dexter actually was quite upset the other day when I wouldn't just let him pull the rest of the circles off our count down because he wanted to leave NOW! There were tears involved and everything.

OH MAN! I just remembered that I still have to deep clean the house too. ugg! So much for getting things done ahead of time. :confused3

Did I mention that my clothes dryer has been broken for the past few months... that means several trips to the laundry mat in the next few days also.:laundy:

My running is going very well. I am really looking forward to the 5k. It's funny, because in high school, I did everything that I could to get out of running the mile. Now I volunteered to run 3.2

I don't think I mentioned it before, but when I get home I am going to register for the Avon 3 day walk for breast cancer. It is in August, so I think I'll have plenty of time to get ready for it and raise the $2,300 in donations. If anyone is interested in donating that would be AWESOME! I'll include a link as soon as I'm all registered. ALSO - if anyone lives in the Chicago-land area and wants to make a DIS team with me - that would be really really cool!!! :thumbsup2

OK - I better get off the Dis and start working on some of these things I need to get done.

OH MY GOODNESS! It is sooooo cold! I think tonight it is in the 20's! We didn't prepare for it being this cold. We are leaving for the cruise tomorrow and it is supposed to warm up for us next week. :thumbsup2 I hope so! I would love to spend at least one day of our vacation in a t-shirt.
