My family always travels light and we prefer to only have carry-on baggage. Will Disney allow us to keep our baggage in our possession while on the bus and at Port Check-In? I know we might have to keep it with us for a couple of hours after boarding until our room is ready but we would prefer this if allowable.
Thanks.

We drove to the Port in our own vehicle, so I'm not able to answer the "bus"part of your question.
DCL recommends that everyone bring 1 carry on "day-bag", so you will be able to walk on with some baggage.
The bags go through an X-ray device prior to embarking on the ship, so there may be a maximum size allowable. A quick call to DCL should hopefully fill in the blanks.
Good luck & Have Fun!!!

The Disney buses have a luggage compartment in the bottom of the bus for all the carry-on, etc. luggage that people bring. It should not be a problem to hold onto your bags.

Thanks you JimB. and MMouse37.
I appreciate the responses.
By the time I take my Oct. cruise, I will be an expert on disney cruises thanks to folks like you and to the fine people who run this board.

A call to disney cruises yielded no answers.
There is no set policy on carry-ons according them.
I would like to board the ship, take all my bags to my room (rather than get all my luggage as late as 6pm), then go eat ... Oh well, guess this is the 1 thing i'll have to find out when i arrive...
