Posting from your mobile device

I just got a BlackBerry curve. In preparation for our upcoming trip, and the inevitable need to upload and post to the DIS while at the Fort, I have been trying to figure out how to post a photo taken with my phone, directly to the DIS.

I have tried photobucket mobile app, which accepts the picture just fine, but then I have not been able to get the img code to put in my post. I am using Opera as my browser so I can get the full web page for the DIS and photobucket, but I don't seem to be able to get the img code copied to post.

Any help for this not so tech savvy DISer would be much appreciated!!!

Subscribing - I'm interested as well. Currently have a Windows Mobile device, but may be looking into an iPhone in the near future when the current contract runs out.popcorn::

ok looks like it worked. This is what I did. Logged into photobucket and clicked on the photo to upload then clicked on Get URL's then copied the Direct link address and pasted it into the Disboards but you have to manually add the [img] to the beginning of the url and [\img] to the end of the url. Hope that makes sense. Let me know if it works Tony.:thumbsup2

Also Tony a couple of good websites for Blackberry info are the forums at
www.blackberryos.com and www.crackberry.com. Alot of good info if your new to blackberrys. Both sites have forums just for the blackberry curve.

This is great information! We are leaving for the Fort either late tonight or early tomorrow and I just got a Blackberry Tour a couple of days ago. I would love to be able to post pictures while we are down there. I will definitely give this a try!

Thanks, Donna! I'm getting ready to put the last of my clothes in the RV so that we will be ready to go when Toby gets home! I know it will be hot and miserable, but I can't wait to get back down there!
