I tend to use mine to reheat things like lasagne etc. that have already been cooked, or for defrosting things I'm about to cook;)
If you want to not use an oven, things like couscous and bulgar wheat are great as you only need hot water form a kettle:thumbsup2

I make this all the time and it's very easy to change up the flavor by changing the sauce added. You can use all beef, all turkey or a combo of both which is what my family likes best.
BBQ Meatloaf
Makes 8 servings
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 lb ground turkey breast
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup bbq sauce, divided
Mix first eight ingredients in a large bowl. Add 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce. Shape into loaf. Placed in a microwave loaf pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray, cover.
Micro on 50% for 15 minutes. Pour 1/4 cup BBQ Sauce on top of loaf; carefully spread to cover. Replace cover and microwave on 50% for 15 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 140 degrees.
Let rest for 10 minutes.

I use the steamer bags for veggies. It makes broccoli taste like you are in a restraurant adn the best corn on the cob-usually halve theem throw in some butter and salt and delish!
