Please be specific about which one you stayed in - ie: East, West, Maingate, Inn, etc..

Not looking for any magic.. Just clean and safe for two women and a preschooler traveling alone..

Anyone stayed at them very recently?

I stayed in Maingate East. I got a great rate thru the DIS. My room was HUGE and clean. I was in one of the older buildings which was pretty far from the pool which actually was nice since it was quite over there.

The room did not have a hairdryer, but when I called they bought me one in about 15 minutes.

The only thing I did not like was that as you check in there is one of those timeshare booths in the lobby and they YELLED at people to try and get them to come over to their booth and get
"FREE" tickets. I just waved and walked back out the front door.

I was on a solo trip there in April. While I only stayed one night I would return.

we stayed at Howard Johnson Maingate West in summer 2000 and we were three females traveling alone last time (leaving other family at home) and have always felt entirely safe as this location has been a repeat visit for us and have been staying on this particular end of 192 for years while visiting! The hotel is located in a very, very quiet and tranquil spot while being family friendly with even an added great little playground on the property for small children. Everything was neat, room neatly clean, and housekeeping/front desk staff were great all the way around. Also, convenient to the parks, shopping, and restaurants.
