Does anyone know if I used a AAA code for a car rental in FL, would my CAA membership be proof enough for the code usage?

AAA and CAA are the same company. Look on you CAA card and it also says AAA.
There is no reason to think you would not be able to get a AAA rate.

I've never had a problem when showing my BCAA card to get the AAA rate at hotels, car rental agencies, etc.

For this December my family and I got the AAA rate for our Contemporary Atrium Club - Bay Lake View room only reservation, so you should have no problem when using your CAA card to get AAA discounts.

If (for some strange reason) CAA will not give it to you, call a AAA office and book it. I booked our last Disney trip through our AAA rep. in NJ after the move and she mailed all the info up and used our Canadian credit card and there were no issues.
They are really the same company... our number did not even change when we "switched" from AAA to CAA.

There are some regional differences, for example I needed some passport pictures and AAA Massachusetts gave them free but I belonged to AAA New Hampshire and was not eligible.
So I would not be surprised if some codes are issued by regional offices and apply only to AAA (or CAA) members living in those areas.
Things like Discount codes are National and can be used for CAA or AAA.....features such as free passport photos differ by club (region).

If you have Costco, you can go on the US Costco site for car rentals too.
