I just called on the offer and they are telling me that you cannot upgrade for an additional charge to the regular dining at Pop.

edited to add: I called back and was able to book the offer at Pop.

I see a trend Disney is trying out...to see if they can change the free dining offer to provide the QS for Value and the Basic for the rest of the resorts. Upgrading being available on all of them as applicable. There has been talk of in the past this being a way of handling the free dining and it looks like they are moving that direction.

Question: Were you able to book the upgrade the offer to basic dining at the value resort? Or received the Quick Service?

If upgrade is available to basic dining on a value resort, I wonder how many people would upgrade, as in the end the table restaurants would still be overwhelmed with reservations during the free dining. I think adding an additional 10 dollar charge per adult is really still a great deal, and I wouldn't pass it up.

I'm curious, in a value resort with free dining, could 4 adults staying in the same room get free dining? That is like more value than the cost of the room?

New discounts are out today for Oct., Nov., and Dec. The free dining offer for Disney Visa has been extended to everyone. There is also a room only discount (code KHP) which will save you about 30% off the room rack rate. The booking dates are 9/27/09 - 12/17/09 .

I don't know how many people know this already but if your reservation starts on the last day of the promo they will usually give you the promo for your whole stay for free dining. IE. you can go from Dec. 17th through Christmas and get the dining the whole time. Plus since most of the free diners have gone home by now table service reservations might be a little easier to get. Maybe I should go book mine now before the stampede :scared1:

Got an email yesterday for free dinning for anyone, quick service plan or you can upgrade to sit downs for $10 per adult $2 per child. Good for Nov sometime through Dec 17th.
